All About Terry Crews’ Wife Rebecca & Their Marriage After Her Health Reveal

Terry Crews and his wife, Rebecca King Crews, appeared on the April 6 episode of Today to open up about her Parkinson’s disease diagnosis for the first time. They revealed that Rebecca was diagnosed in 2015 after first noticing symptoms three years earlier.

“I feel good,” Rebecca, who recently had a procedure to help manage her symptoms, assured viewers, “I’m able to write my name and my dates, and I’m able to write with my right hand for the first time in probably three years.”

Who is Terry Crews’ wife?

Rebecca is a musician, having studied music and theater in college. She graduated from Western Michigan University in 1987. In 2014, Rebecca started releasing music and has since started performing under the stage name Regina Madre.

“I discovered that I was being judged primarily on my notoriety, rather than on the music, so I decided to go anonymous and create a pseudonym,” she explained to Authority magazine.

In 2021, Rebecca launched a clothing line, which has been worn by celebrities including Avril Lavigne and Cynthia Bailey. She and Terry also released a memoir together in 2021.

How did Terry Crews meet his wife?

Terry and Rebecca met while they were students at Western Michigan University in the 1980s. “He almost got stuck in the friend zone,” Rebecca admitted to E! in 2018. “He was a little too nice.”

Terry admitted that he had to “earn it” with his wife before she committed to their relationship. They tied the knot in 1989.

Did Terry Crews and his wife split?

Terry and Rebecca never officially split, but they have gone through rough patches in their relationship. “Me and my wife have been married 36 years, and, at year 20, though, it was over,” Terry told People in 2025. “And we totally rebuilt our relationship. And we decided we were going to be stronger together. It was a decision that we decided to make.”

The near-breakup happened in 2010 after Terry admitted that he’d cheated on his wife and had a pornography addiction. “He made the choice to take this battle on and really become a better person,” Rebecca later told People, of her decision to stay with the former football star.

Terry completed a stint in rehab, after which he was able to repair his marriage, he revealed on the Armchair Expert podcast in 2023.

How many kids does Terry Crews have?

Terry and Rebecca share five children. Their eldest daughter, Naomi, was born six months before Rebecca met Terry, but he legally adopted her after they tied the knot.

In 1990, Terry and Rebecca welcomed a daughter, Azriél, who has worked as a singer, actress, real estate agent, and makeup artist. Another daughter, Tera, followed in 1998, followed by daughter Wynfrey “Winnie” in 2003.

The family was complete with the birth of son Isaiah in 2005. He has followed in his father’s footsteps by pursuing acting.

What are Rebecca Crews’ health issues?

In addition to her Parkinson’s disease, Rebecca is also a breast cancer survivor. She underwent a double mastectomy after being diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer and was declared cancer-free afterward.

Terry was a source of support for Rebecca during the trying time. “My husband has watched me go through a lot, but the look on his face … he looked at me like I was going to die,” she told People. “He told me it felt like his insides were melting. I said, ‘I need you to be strong for me,’ and he said, ‘OK,’ and hugged me, but I think he needed that hug.”
