‘Southern Hospitality’ Preview: Maddi Is ‘Pissed’ After Catching Joe in a Lie
Tensions are high between Maddi Reese and Joe Bradley on this week’s episode of Southern Hospitality, and Swooon has an exclusive sneak peek of the drama.
The preview features Maddi preparing for her DJ set at Republic, while Joe walks in to work 23 minutes late. Maddi opens up to Michols Peña about why she’s annoyed at her boyfriend, then gives Joe the cold shoulder.
“I feel like I’m f**king exhausted today,” Maddi admits. “I’m a little pissed because Joe told me he was working last night and, of course, I have his location, and it’s at another bar.”
In a confessional, Maddi clarifies that she’s not an “uber tracker,” but notes, “I only track Joe when he’s not responding to make sure he’s not dead in a ditch.”
Michols confirms Maddi’s fear that Joe “didn’t come in” to work the night before. “He told me he was working,” she says, to which Michols replies, “Yeah, because he’s out drinking.”
What really gets Maddi pissed, though, is that “Leva [Bonaparte] has a perception that I have anything to do with him missing work to come on tour with me or come hang out with me or something like that when he’s [actually] going out.”
When Joe approaches Maddi and asks if she wants his help moving her DJ equipment outside, she doesn’t hide her annoyance. “No, it’s pouring rain, if you didn’t notice,” she tells him, straight-faced.
Joe finally clocks that something is wrong and asks Maddi if she’s OK, but she responds, “No, not really.” In his confessional, Joe says, “She’s obviously pissed off at me. I have no idea why. I don’t know if I’d rather have Maddi yell at me and embarrass me in front of everyone, or to be silent like this. This is the most annoying part of our relationship … when she gets mad, and I don’t know why. What did I do?”
We’ll have to see if these two are able to work it out when the full episode airs.
