‘Love on the Spectrum’ Star Dylan Aguilar Reveals Relationship Status With Melissa (VIDEO)

During Season 4 of Love on the Spectrum, fans got to know Dylan Aguilar, a 22-year-old from Los Angeles looking for the Princess Fiona to his Shrek. Throughout the season, Dylan went on a few dates, connecting most of all with Melissa, whom he met at the Santa Monica Pier.
After exploring the dating world for the first time, Dylan sat down with Swooon to reveal where he stands with Melissa today, his favorite parts about being on the show, and whether he’d return to Love on the Spectrum for another season.
Dylan revealed to Swooon that he is a big fan of the show, making him a natural fit for the cast. He explained, “I did the show because I saw the first three seasons, and I was saying, ‘I want to do it so bad!'” Knowing that it was way out of his comfort zone, he asked, “Why not give it a go?”‘
His family members, whom viewers got to meet this season, were also strong proponents of his joining the show, specifically his cousin, Steph, who joined him during our interview.
Dylan also revealed that his favorite date during his time on the series was meeting Melissa at the Santa Monica Pier. He recalled watching the date back after the season was released and going, “That’s me with a hat!” According to Dylan, Melissa still has the caricature that was drawn of them on the date.

The “Where Are They Now?” portion of the Season 4 finale revealed that Dylan and Melissa went on a second date after filming wrapped. According to Dylan, the off-camera date was “okay.” During their time together, he gave her a plushy shark, and they talked.
While Netflix has revealed that Dylan is technically single today, he is still planning to go on another date with Melissa. He explained, “We’re still together… and we’re talking to get to know each other.” In other words, they’re taking things slow. “We’ve been talking on the phone and texting. And yeah, we’ve been planning to go out soon,” he confirmed.
As for whether Dylan would return for another season on Love on the Spectrum, he made it clear that if he gets the call, he is more than willing to return. He told Swooon, “Everyone keeps saying that I should do the show again! If they ask me, I’ll say, ‘Okay, I’ll do it!'”
