Who Is Akshay Bhatia’s Wife? All About the Pro Golfer’s Love
This may be Akshay Bhatia’s third time competing at the 2026 Masters, but this will be his first time as a husband. Just a few months before returning to Augusta National, Akshay married his wife, Presleigh Bhatia (née Schultz).

Who is Akshay Bhatia’s wife?
Presleigh, who hails from Mississippi, is a content creator. Her TikTok videos have over 2.5 million likes. She has been showing off her outfits and the bedazzled yardage book she created for her husband in the days leading up to the tournament.
Presleigh is her husband’s biggest fan. When Akshay won the Barracuda Championship in 2023, the pro golfer praised Presleigh for her support. “She’s been through it all with me,” he said. “She had no idea what golf was when I met her. To win with her in the Bahamas was pretty special… She travels every week with me. It’s not easy, especially, you know, it’s all about me 100% of the time. For her to support me every week, to walk 72 holes every single week, I couldn’t imagine my life without her. I couldn’t imagine being on this journey without her by my side. She’s done a lot for me.”
He sweetly revealed that his wife makes his peanut butter and jelly sandwiches every morning and gets his snacks together.

Akshay added, “She’s seen me cry in the hotel room. She’s seen me super happy. For her to see me here, she always will remind me how good I am. And even if I question myself sometimes, she’s always right there by my side.”
Presleigh’s Instagram bio is all about her husband: “Somewhere watching @akshay golf.”
Akshay’s dad noted in PGA Tour’s The Life series that Presleigh and Akshay “balance each other” out. “She’s good for him, and he leans a lot on her, and that’s something special,” he said.
How did Akshay Bhatia and his wife meet?
Akshay and Presleigh had a modern meet-cute. Akshay slid into Presleigh’s Instagram DMs while he was in Texas, where she was living, for a golf tournament. “He invited me to the tournament, and that’s where we met officially,” she told Over the Moon.

In the PGA Tour’s The Life series, Akshay revealed that he gave Presleigh “some compliments” when he first DMed her. “Got her Snapchat, which is kind of the next step for a guy to try and get a girlfriend, I guess, and then she ignored me for about three weeks,” the golfer explained. She eventually texted back, and the rest is history!
The couple got engaged in 2023 while in Napa Valley for a golf tournament. During a private tour of Amulet Estate, Akshay proposed. “I was picking a grape and turned around, and he was on one knee. It was so special and my favorite part was afterwards, when he had a picnic set up for us and we FaceTimed our friends and family to share the news,” she told Over the Moon.
They said “I do” on December 13, 2025, at The Abaco Club in The Bahamas, a special place for the couple. “It’s where Akshay earned his first professional win, and I was there caddying for him,” Presleigh revealed in her wedding interview.
Do Akshay Bhatia and his wife have kids?
Akshay and Presleigh don’t have kids at the moment, but they do have three dogs that they take care of at home in Jupiter, Florida. “It’s been a fun journey for us,” Akshay said on The Life.
