What has Kennedy Ryan said about Before I Let Go?
After Ryan’s deal with Universal was announced, she posted a lengthy caption about what being at the helm of the Before I Go adaptation and other projects means to her. She wrote, “Getting the chance to co-write the Before I Let Go pilot with Malcolm D. Lee is such an honor and an incredible experience. ‘What’s happening with the show’ is the most asked question. Update! We are working hard to bring you the show you deserve! We’ve been plotting and cooking for awhile. This opportunity has given me not only a great collaborator, but a friend! We’ll share more when the time is right.”
She continued, “The opportunity to develop and executive produce my own IP and original material for television was not on my radar TBH. Thank you to @jordys.book.club for having the vision of this partnership. For seeing potential in me that I may have not even seen in myself. Let’s do great things together!” She then added that she is thrilled to develop books by other authors as well, especially those written by marginalized authors. She even teased that they “already have some things in development!”
