Dave is one of the OG stars of Storage Wars, so fans were thrilled to see him back. His three-season hiatus was due to health issues, as he suffered a stroke in 2018 and it took years for him to recover.

Who is Dave Hester’s wife?
Very little is known about Dave’s love life. He is linked to a woman named Donna Hester, but it’s unclear whether they are still married today. He has not publicly commented on his current relationship status.
Does Dave Hester have kids?
Yes, Dave has one son named Dave Jr., who has appeared on Storage Wars. “It’s time for him to start buying units on his own, so one day I can pass the family business onto him,” Dave said in one episode. At the time, Dave Jr. had his “life savings” on hand: $5,600.
Dave Jr. ended up buying a unit for $5,550 and his dad helped him go through the items inside. “I’m really proud of Jr.,” Dave admitted. “He’s going to get the slot machine restarted and I think he’s going to make a good profit on this unit.”
In November 2025, Dave revealed on Instagram that he became a grandfather for the first time after Dave Jr. welcomed his first child. “Another addition to the family,” he captioned the post, which featured various photos of himself cradling the newborn.
