Shekinah and Sarper made their first franchise appearance on Season 5 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. Ahead of the season, TLC shared, “During a trip to Turkey, Shekinah, an aesthetician based in LA, met Sarper, a model and personal trainer. Their sexual chemistry was off the charts, and after only two days, they both fell head over heels for each other.” After another season of The Other Way and an appearance on Season 11 of the flagship series, the duo is putting their love to the test on The Last Resort.

Are Shekinah and Sarper still together?
As of Episode 3 of 90 Day: The Last Resort Season 3, Shekinah and Sarper are still going strong. However, Shekinah revealed during the premiere that she is less than happy with Sarper’s comments about their marriage in his comedy shows. The two also appear to have been living separately, with Shekinah based in California, while Sarper travels around the States for his comedy career.

Why are Shekinah and Sarper on The Last Resort?
Shekinah and Sarper came to Thornbury Castle one year into their marriage with high hopes for the future. However, Sarper shared, “Marriage is difficult. We are arguing so much. It is just like swimming against the water flow. Even though we love each other, sometimes I think that we are not compatible anymore.”
As Shekinah put it, “I don’t think that we’re incompatible. I think that if we learned to communicate better, I think that we could be amazing.” She later confessed, “One of the issues in this relationship has to do with Sarper’s career choice. He’s an amazing comedian, but he has chosen most of his material to be about our marriage, and it makes a big joke of our relationship.”

Ahead of Episode 4, Shekinah posted on her Instagram Story, “Love when my HUSBAND (Yes I hate that word!) goes lower than low the second he doesn’t like a reaction I give… Apparently, I’m: uneducated and below his level / mentally broken / he’s the only one that can stand me (typical narcissistic isolation) / and even my family doesn’t speak to me (hitting where it hurts the most). You’ll be sending photos of you crying to get me back in a week @sarper90day.”
