‘Are You My First?’ Season 1: Are Any Couples Still Together Today?

August 18, 2025, marked Hulu’s first time… dropping a virgins-only romance reality TV show.
Season 1 of Are You My First? featured 21 adults between 23 and 34 who have never done the dirty. Searching for lasting love, these virgins hit the beach looking for “the one” — or, the first one — at least. Among the cast were a former contestant from The Bachelorette, a stand-up comedian, an NFL cheerleader, and more. Now that the season has ended, both final couples have officially revealed where they stand today. Are either of the couples still together?
Throughout the season, the virgins were awarded dates through V-Cards and eliminated through virgin sacrifices. (If you don’t love a punny innuendo, this isn’t the show for you.) Along the way, multiple couples formed and folded, with three of the strongest duos making it to overnight dates and the Big Finish.

Layne & Brooklyn
Status: Split
After entering as a bombshell, Brooklyn caught the attention of almost every guy on the show. Even so, the dance instructor fell for a bombshell of her own, ending the season with Layne, a commercial pilot who had never been in a serious relationship.
During the finale, Layne shocked Brooklyn and fans alike when he got down on one knee, seemingly ready to propose. Of course, Layne was only offering Brooklyn a promise ring and asked to be her boyfriend. At the end of the season, Brooklyn and Layne walked away together with plans of becoming intimate at some point down the line.
On September 19, Brooklyn revealed that Layne broke up with her the first time they met in person. “All I could do was just cry because on the show it seemed like he completely wanted to be with me,” she said. The exes have not spoken since splitting up.
Michael & Rachael
Status: Split
While this duo’s fear of intimacy came from different places, stand-up comedian Michael and romantasy author Rachael were quick to bond over their mutual apprehension, allowing them to form one of the strongest relationships right off the bat.
During Season 1 of Are You My First?, Michael was pulled away from filming by a family emergency. However, Rachael held on to their connection until he was able to return. It’s true, both Rachael and Michael (allegedly) left the competition as virgins, but things were definitely looking up as the newly formed couple left hand-in-hand.
On Bristowe’s Off the Vine podcast, Rachael revealed that Michael had told her he was not actually a virgin. “It was a comedy bit for him,” she said. While Rachael tried to maintain their relationship after filming, both in Costa Rica together and long-distance back home, it wasn’t long before Michael called things off and Rachael blocked him everywhere. “I got played by the nice guy,” she admitted.
Mike & Carissa
Status: Split
As soon as former The Bachelorette contestant Mike entered the competition, there were strong vibes between him and Carissa, a social media manager waiting for “the one.” After going on the first V-Card date, Carissa cut ties with her former connection Noah because she wanted to focus her attention on Mike.
Much like the cruel fate of Romeo and Juliet, Mike and Carissa’s time was cut short as Noah sought revenge on Carissa for putting him in the friend-zone (or at least that’s what it seemed like) by convincing all the guys to give her the boot. While Mike and Carissa never got a chance to fully explore their connection, it appears that they did not explore things further after filming wrapped.
Jake & Sara
Status: Split
From an awkward peck to an unsolicited smooch, caregiver Jake and student Sara could not find their rhythm. In the finale, Sara thanked Jake for helping her realize the things she was looking for in a relationship. In a stunningly girlboss moment, Sara told Jake, “There were things that you might have been doing that were a little controlling. My voice matters, so losing myself on someone else’s path is not what I want.” For that reason, she turned down his proposal to become boyfriend and girlfriend.
While Sara and Jake may not have gone all the way, they shared many firsts including Sara’s first (non-bite) kiss, first date, and first relationship. Today, the duo appears to be cordial and mutually follow each other on Instagram.
