Literally, find me a man who is as down bad for me as Max Salvador is for Cathy Skinner. He’s laying his heart on a plate for her at dinner — alongside some perfectly crispy fries — while poor Cathy is not feeling well. Being the gentleman he is, Max escorts her back to the boat, where they share a few kisses before bed. And then he drops, “I have the feels” on her. Swooning.
12. Scott and Aesha (Season 10, Episode 12)
It’s so wholesome and unchaotic, but we have to include it! Aesha Scott’s fiancé, Scott Dobson, surprises her on their day off, and she’s genuinely in tears of happiness. He joins them for the day and night, and the couple is constantly holding hands and giving each other “I’m the luckiest human alive” looks.
Later, they sneak off to a guest room together. It’s all kept off-camera, but if you know, you know — they’re probably not waiting for marriage. We love to see sweet baby girl Aesha this happy! More Scott content, please!
11. Cathy and Max (Season 10, Episode 12)
Once again: Cathy and Max, folks. The pair is simple, sweet, and wholesome. She’s looking phenomenal in a bright orange dress — girlie, drop the link immediately. They make out in the van, finally alone for once. Sidenote: I need to know the van seat designations because why are couples always sharing? I would never sit with a couple in a van.
Later, they hook up in bed together. Love it.
10. Victoria and Joe (Season 10, Episode 9)
These two had been edging us for episodes at this point. They wanted to shag so badly but were holding back. The man described himself as having a “giddy little feeling” for her. The pair almost hooks up in the club, the van, and then the hot tub. For a moment, I thought we’d end the episode with blue balls, but no fear, they made out in her bed.
The next day at the beach club, they hook up a lot more. We love to see it. Almost everyone seems pleased by this turn of events — except blondie.
9. Kizzi and Nathan (Season 10, Episode 10)
This might just be the most unnecessary hookup of the season, especially coming off their half-hearted makeout in the previous episode. Kizzi Kitchener and Nathan Gallagher are so clearly not interested in each other that it’s almost impressive. On a night out, they’re making out against a club wall — until Nathan abruptly pulls away to announce, “I need a f**king cigarette.” As a girlie, I would immediately assume you’re not hot for me. Brutal. Their club makeout is then relegated to background scenery while Joe and Victoria have genuinely cute heart-to-hearts in the foreground, which says it all.
Things somehow escalate from there. Leaving the club, Nathan carries Kizzi, and they continue making out in the car — directly next to Joe and V — while poor Aesha and Josh are trapped in the backseat. Later, they cuddle and hook up in bed, with Kizzi sporting a very teeny-tiny thong, just in case we forgot this is reality TV.
They’re both single, Gael’s arrival doesn’t cause any real fallout, and yet the whole thing still feels oddly forced — less a spark, more a producer-approved filler hookup.
8. Victoria and Joe (Season 10, Episode 10)
The two are seemingly coupled up now. On a night out, Victoria SanJuan is glowing in a gorgeous waistcoat set. Joe Bradley‘s dressed like an Oxford boy, but fine. She straddles him in the van while Nathan and Kizzi get it on next to them. Then they go to bed together and kick Nathan out of the room for some cheeky time. Sorry, “just a cuddle,” supposedly.
7. Cathy and Max (Season 10, Episode 15)
Don’t panic, besties — nothing messy here. Cathy and Max, aka the only semi-healthy couple on the boat right now, swap some serious saliva on the dance floor. He’s been looking after her ever since the tough news she received, even bringing her a cup of tea first thing in the morning.
The duo continues their makeout session in the van before taking it to the bedroom. Now here’s what bumps this hookup up the list: They build a fort out of the sheets for some privacy. Oh, and they are definitely doing bits. Iconic behavior.
6. Kizzi and Nathan (Season 10, Episode 9)
Kizzi and Nathan did share a flicker of chemistry when they first met, and then we more or less forgot they existed as a pairing. Their dynamic mostly gives “older brother deeply annoyed by his little sister, who keeps trying to hook up with his friends.” And yet! Something was clearly in the water at that beach club.
Suddenly, they’re making sunscreen application wildly sexual. “I’m so protected,” Kizzi purrs. “You’re so protected,” Nathan replies. Is this code for something? A sexual innuendo I’ve missed? Birth control? Vibes? I genuinely don’t know, but they’re saying it like it means something.
They escalate quickly, making out in the pool with her legs wrapped around him, back against the wall. I’ll admit it — this part was kind of hot, especially when his hand goes to her throat. Unfortunately, the moment is immediately deflated by Nathan explaining it away in his confessional with, “It’s why not?” Exactly the energy every woman dreams of a man bringing to a makeout.
The fallout is minimal, the chaos is low, and the silver lining is that Max and Joe are briefly freed from Kizzi’s clutches. All in all: A hookup that happened, existed, and then politely asked to be forgotten.
5. Gael and Nathan (Season 10, Episode 15)
If Below Deck ever paid attention to music, their crying-outside-the-club scene would definitely be soundtracked by “Party 4 U.” Don’t lie — you can already see the TikTok: She’s crying and looking stunning, he’s baring his heart… and she’s just terrified of getting hurt again. Classic.
Back on the boat, they sneak off to a guest cabin together (cheeky), and we hear him pleading for her to stay in Spain. “I will do this differently,” he promises. Zero doubt they sealed the deal — and now I’m seriously questioning ending no-contact with my ex…
4. Victoria and Joe (Season 10, Episode 15)
Honestly, Joe’s almost combusted at this point for not telling Victoria about his sneaky kiss. The man is sweating tears. Despite promising Aesha he wouldn’t, he tells V during her birthday celebrations, after they release flowers for her deceased boyfriend. Classy. She forgives him (too quickly), and they share a kiss. Later in the club, they’re making out.
All’s well with the lovers? Not quite. Then Victoria spots him being all over Kizzi. They’re dancing and flirting and touching each other. Not impressed, and neither is V. Drama is brewing, folks.
3. Cathy and Max (Season 10, Episode 9)
After Max royally messed things up with Cathy by making out with Kizzi right in front of her, we thought that was the end of the line. But apparently all it took was one night’s sleep and a heartfelt apology — and they were back to regular programming.
He tells her sunscreen is “an aphrodisiac.” IDK if saying that in a French accent makes it automatically true… can someone fact-check that? Then they’re dancing with the others, grinding all over each other, and Cathy blurts, “I feel like we’re performing a fucking sex show right now.” Yeah, babe, you kind of are. Thoughts and prayers to all the regular patrons at that beach club.
The pair seals the deal with a kiss. Naturally, Kizzi is irritated and immediately goes for Nathan. And just like that, the second love story of Season 10 commences.
2. Kizzi and Max (Season 10, Episode 9)
Kizzi and Max flirted in Episode 1… and then basically vanished from each other’s storylines. Until Cathy shows up and hits it off with Max — at which point Kizzi just has to insert herself again.
Cue a very hot tub makeout, with Cathy sitting directly across from them. Ouch. Bonus: Cathy had literally told Kizzi how much she liked Max. Girl code? Nonexistent in international waters.
So far, this is a one-off hookup, but what a drama stirrer. During the makeout, Aesha and Cathy are whispering about Kizzi’s need for attention — and she hears every word… though her tongue is tied up at the time. She confronts them both the next day, naturally.
Max is bewildered by Cathy’s reaction and even suggests, “She could have joined.” Jail. Meanwhile, Kizzi sums up the whole experience beautifully: “I love a kiss. I’ll kiss anyone.”
1. Kizzi and Joe (Season 10, Episode 12)
No surprises here: the winner of Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10’s most chaotic, messy, and shady hookup goes to… Kizzi and Joe. Sorry, but I’m not impressed with either of them.
Meanwhile, Joe and Victoria have been adorably coupled — which, naturally, freaks him out. Why won’t men just let us love them? While she’s away recovering, Joe and Kizzi reignite their flirting. They’re all over each other all night: handsy in the hot tub, slurring, and making zero effort to actually stop themselves. Everyone else is watching like, “Really?”
They stumble off the boat, Kizzi notices the camera, and they kiss just offscreen — though we hear everything. She laughs, and he drunkenly tries to play it off. Peak reality-TV absurdity.
The fallout? Everyone loses a little respect for them, Kizzi doesn’t regret a thing, Joe cries to his mum, and Victoria ends the night even more heartbroken than before. Mess.
