The year 2026 has only just begun, but the celebrity engagements are already rolling in!
January has started off strong with engagements coming out of four reality TV franchises: Real Housewives, Bachelor Nation, Love Island, and Vanderpump Rules. Outside of the reality TV realm, a beloved Disney Channel star became the first actress to announce her engagement this year. That, of course, is Descendants star Dove Cameron, who revealed her engagement to Måneskin frontman Damiano David on January 3. After less than a week, that puts us at five 2026 engagements so far. But trust us, we’re only just getting started.

Gina Kirschenheiter & Travis Mullen
The Real Housewives of Orange County‘s Gina Kirschenheiter announced her engagement to her longtime boyfriend Travis Mullen on January 7 with a stunning lakeside photoshoot. She revealed that Mullen proposed with a 6-carat, oval-cut diamond ring during a New Year’s Eve vacation in Big Bear, California.
She told People, “I was in complete shock! My nervous system was trying to catch up to what just happened in this magical moment and I was also trying to process the iceberg that was being presented to me as well! I of course said ‘yes,’ and melted into what was the sweetest kiss I’ve ever felt!”
The couple shares a blended family of six children, each having three kids between 9 and 14 from their previous relationships. Kirschenheiter explained that the kids were “waiting and began to sound off their New Year’s Eve horns and launch off confetti poppers!” She shared, “It was perfect! It meant so much to be there as a family celebrating all together. We were all so happy. Truly a pinnacle moment.”
"Farmer" Will Young & Jessie Wynters
After keeping their engagement private for a month, Love Island (UK) Season 9 couple Will Young, known as Farmer Will, and Jessie Wynters shared photos of his swoonworthy proposal.
Farmer Will wrote, “On the 9th of December I asked Jessie to marry me. Since then, we’ve been celebrating with each other and Jessie’s family, just us, with no outside noise, exactly how we wanted it. We wanted to soak up this moment together and be fully present before sharing it with the world. We still feel like we’re living in a dream. I can’t believe we’re engaged. My heart has never felt so full of love.”
He revealed, “For over a year I’ve been planning this moment and keeping the biggest secret from Jessie. It wasn’t easy, but every second was worth it. Jessie deserves the world and I can’t wait to spend my life giving it to her. Since we met on Love Island three years ago I’ve been the happiest boy in the world. From the very beginning I knew I wanted Jessie to be my fiancée, I just knew it had to be perfect.”
Anna Redman & Chris Bukowski
While both Anna Redman and Chris Bukowski are The Bachelor alums, this Bachelor Nation couple met off-camera. On January 4, Redman and Bukowski confirmed that they had gotten engaged after four years together, with Bukowski writing, “Best friend. Fiancé. Future wifey. 12.31.25.”
According to Bachelor Nation’s official website, Bukowski proposed on New Years Eve, at the Ritz-Carlton during their trip to Costa Rica. Of course, their Bachelor family was thrilled to find out the big news, showering the couple with positive comments. Redman’s Season 25 costar Abigail Erb wrote, “So beautiful 😭😭 congrats you two we love yall! ❤️.”
Dove Cameron & Damiano David
On January 3, Måneskin frontman Damiano David proposed to his girlfriend, Dove Cameron, who is set to star in the upcoming series, 56 Days. To announce the big news, David took to Instagram writing, “It’s gonna be a beautiful year💍♥️.” At the same time, Cameron shared, “My favourite part of being alive 💍 happy new year.”
While everyone from Jennette McCurdy to Benson Boone commented with their excitement for the couple, the most heartwarming message came from Cameron’s sister, Claire Hosterman, who wrote in her own post, “It is with great joy to share that my sister @dovecameron and her love @damianodavid are engaged!! ♥️♥️♥️ I have never met a more kind, devoted, honorable, healthy, trustworthy, loving, self-expressed, and perfect (in all senses of the word) match for her. Brett Caprioni & Carli Bybel
Less than three months after Vanderpump Rules alum Brett Caprioni and influencer Carli Bybel announced that they had gotten back together, Caprioni popped the question. Announcing their engagement on January 2, Bybel wrote on Instagram, “Easiest yes of my life!!!!!! We’re engaged!!!!!! 🥹😭❤️✨ #loveofmylife 12.31.25.”
While Bybel and Caprioni split back in 2017, the couple confirmed that they had gotten back together in October 2025 during a video for Bybel’s birthday. She posted, “Some love stories don’t end.. they pause, they grow, they heal & they return stronger. 35 trips around the sun, and mine just began again.” He responded, “It was always you!!! You deserve everything good this world has to offer and I’m going to do everything in my power to give you it. Just so damn grateful for the opportunity to love you!!!”
