Are Any ‘Love Island Games’ Season 1 Couples Still Together?
Love Island Games is more about competing in challenges than romance. Still, sometimes the spinoff contestants will walk away victorious in love. In the case of the first-place couple, they could end up much richer and in a relationship. Talk about a double win.
Nearly two years after the first season aired, are any of the couples still together today? Season 1 saw franchise alums Jack Fowler and Justine Ndiba come out on top, splitting the prize money down the middle. They also left the villa in a relationship.
Season 2, which is airing now, just dropped an enormous bombshell: Justine is back in the game, along with another familiar face! So, what happened between her and Jack between seasons? What about all of the other Season 1 couples, for that matter? Read on to find out whether or not any Love Island Games Season 1 pairs stayed together.

Justine Ndiba & Jack Fowler
Status: Split
Four months after being crowned champions, Justine and Jack went their separate ways.
Jack broke the news of their split via Instagram Stories, “BIG love to everyone who supported me and Justine in Love Island Games,” he said. “Winning together was actually mental. Feels like ages ago now lol but just wanted to say we are keeping it as friends.” Jack did start dating fellow Love Island alum Joanna Chimondes, but they split earlier this year.
Johnny Middlebrooks & Aurelia Lamprecht
Status: Split
Johnny is back for Season 2, which obviously means he’s single now. The first time around, he and Aurelia made it all the way to the finale, but did they pursue a relationship outside of the villa?
Shortly after the season ended, Aurelia explained that they didn’t stay together. The distance between them was a big factor, since she’s from Germany and he’s in the United States. Still, she wasn’t ruling out anything in the future.
“He treats me with so much respect even today,” she told USA Network in November 2023. “We talk two times a week; he always checks on me to see if I’m good.”
She continued, “This was a big experience and so much happened on social media, and I think we both just need time. I’m thankful that we have each other and are talking to each other. It means a lot to me.”
Deb Chubb & Callum Hole
Status: Split
The third place winners also live far apart: Deb is in the U.S., while Callum resides in Australia. After filming concluded, they decided to put their relationship on pause.
“We’re just friends for now. The time difference is crazy.. who knows what the future will hold tho” Deb wrote in a now-deleted TikTok comment.
On Callum’s part, he told The Messenger shortly after the finale that they were “just taking it as it comes.” He said, “We’ll just see what happens… I don’t think we’re gonna put any pressure on it. She did mention something about coming over here for New Years, so potentially we’d be linking up then — if not, definitely the new year when I head over to the States, for sure.”
The duo recently appeared together in an Aftersun episode of Love Island USA Season 7, during which they revealed that Callum ghosted Deb. Regardless, there doesn’t seem to be bad blood between them.
Ray Gantt & Imani Wheeler
Status: Split
Ray and Imani were eliminated before the finals, but sometimes couples that leave at the same time stay together. However, Ray and Imani didn’t, the former told PopCulture.com.
“The villa got the best of us,” Ray said shortly after the show ended. “I don’t even think we’re really friends. It’s just cordial now, to be honest.”
He continued, “[There] was so much that happened in the Villa, and I guess that bothered her. And her feelings are valid, 1000%. But it is what it is. It is all love towards Imani, for sure.”
Ray joined the cast of Perfect Match Season 3 and started dating Bachelor Nation’s Rachel Recchia. Their relationship didn’t last long after filming ended, but Rachel told Swooon that “they’re still really, really close as friends.”
Cely Vazquez & Eyal Booker
Status: Split
After they were dumped from the island, Cely and Eyal never publicly confirmed whether or not they had a relationship in the outside world.
Eyal, however, gave some context as to why he didn’t hang out with the other Islanders after Season 1 ended. He had to return to the U.K. immediately after due to family issues, which he explained in a December 2023 TikTok video. He reiterated that he had a great experience with Cely, but again, didn’t reveal where they stood post-villa.
It’s possible distance that played a part in their decision to split, since Cely is from the U.S. and Eyal is from the UK. The two don’t follow each other on Instagram.
