Love ‘em or hate ‘em, Love Island USA wouldn’t be what it is without its challenges. While some of the games are meant for laughs — like this year’s Megan Thee Stallion-hosted twerk-off — others make things deliciously messy in the villa. Those are the best kind, in our opinion. (Part of the fun of Love Island USA is the drama, no?)

Some truly iconic moments have come out of the challenges so far, from that hilarious meme of Austin Shepard staring down Jeremiah Brown to the Islanders spitting milk into each others’ mouths. (We kid you not.) So, ahead of the Season 7 finale next weekend, we decided to rank the seven best challenges of Season 7 from the best to worst. Let us know if you agree with our order — or if you think we’re missing any — in the comments below!

7. Parenting challenge

Episode 31

This one was pretty wholesome, which also made it a bit boring. Still, we suppose it was a nice change of pace from all of the arguments and yelling that usually come out of challenges. Some deeper conversations were had between a few couples while they cared for their fake babies, and we like to see that as the finish line creeps closer.

6. "What's Your Beef?" challenge

Episode 16

Drama-wise, there wasn’t anything too major to come out of this challenge, but it has to be one of the most disgusting things we’ve seen in a reality dating show. One Islander would hold milk in their mouth, and then spit it into their partner’s. We were gagging the entire time. Granted, it definitely sticks out in our minds, so it deserves a spot on the list.

5. "Hate To Burst Your Bubble" challenge

Episode 27

Watching some of the Islanders get a dose of reality was pretty satisfying, we have to say. In this challenge, the Islanders were asked certain questions — like who is the most genuine girl or boy — and they ranked themselves accordingly. Then, they were re-ordered depending on how America voted for them.

In the process, Amaya Espinal found out she was a fan-favorite contestant, which we were happy to see. But now that the other Islanders know where she stands with the public, we hope it doesn’t put a target on her back!

4. Twerk-off, "Build-A-Bombshell" challenge

Episode 15

We laughed the most at the twerk-off challenge. While the girls knew what they were doing, the boys did not. Plus, guest host Megan Thee Stallion was a breath of fresh air, making the villa feel lighter amidst all of the tension. We loved to see it!

3. "Dominate Tricks" challenge

Episode 9

Where do we begin with this steamy challenge? So many memorable moments came out of it. Beyond the aforementioned meme, we got Ariana Madix in yet another stunning outfit, three new bombshells, and Huda Mustafa being territorial over then-partner Jeremiah. Chef’s kiss!

2. "Stand on Business" challenge

Episode 26

We knew it would be chaotic when the Islanders were asked to air out their beef with each other, and we were right. The “Stand on Business” challenge involved the contestants calling out their housemates via letters. We were sad to see Amaya run off in tears — Ace Greene, Zak Srakaew, and Austin claimed she was too affectionate too soon in their relationships — but it did make for good TV.

The only thing that would’ve made it better was the inclusion of a few more Islanders’ turns. In a hilarious bonus scene during the following Aftersun episode, Nic Vansteenberghe is reprimanded for his toilet seat etiquette.

1. "Hearts on Fire" challenge

Episode 24

The “Hearts on Fire” challenge didn’t disappoint this year. As usual, the Islanders were tasked with trying to get their follow contestants’ heart rates up via steamy displays. There was a lot of making out and a lot of ruffled feathers, particularly after Huda took things pretty far with Ace. It left his partner, Chelley Bissainthe, fuming, and her feud with Huda lasted a while after. That’s everything we could ever want out of a challenge!
