‘Love Overboard’: Which Season 1 Couples Are Still Together?
It’s been four days since all nine episodes of Love Overboard debuted on Hulu, which means fans have had ample time to binge the new dating show. The series was filmed about a year ago in Malta, so quite a bit of time has passed for the couples who met on the luxury yacht. (Warning: Spoilers for Season 1 of Love Overboard below).
While Gia Aldisert and Tim Demirjian were named the winners of Love Overboard, there were several other couples who were still paired up when filming ended. James Barranca and Lexi Borges were the longest-lasting duo on the show, having coupled up after the very first plank ceremony and lasting all the way until the final one.
Then, of course, there was David Fuhrmann and Val Zuluaga, who controversially got together after he had already asked Lo Ollivierre to be his girlfriend. Koray East and Leela Ambrose-Fleck also made it to the topside together, although they were eliminated prior to the final plank ceremony.
Swooon spoke with some of the cast members for updates on their relationships now. Scroll down for everything we know about who’s still together and whose romances ended when they got back to the real world.

Gia & Tim
Status: Seemingly Still Together
Gia and Tim played coy when we asked where they stand now. “That’s a loaded question,” Gia teased, while Tim added, “Obviously, there’s a lot that happened on that boat. Me and Gia both live in L.A. She lives about eight minutes away from me, and a lot has obviously happened since, so you’re just going to have to follow along.”
However, Tim confirmed that the $100,000 trip they won on the show is still in the works, so all signs point to the two still being together. “We’re 100% planning on taking it very soon,” he said, noting that the photo shoot montage at the end of Love Overboard was just a “funny little gag we did with production.”
James & Lexi
Status: Split
James and Lexi tried to date for about two months after filming, but the relationship ultimately fizzled due to the long distance between them.
“I’m all the way in Florida, he’s in California,” Lexi told Swooon. “I’m a lovergirl. I’m a physical touch person. It was really difficult being on different sides of the country. So we didn’t continue our journey after a while, but it was just a distance issue.”
Both James and Lexi added that they’re still on good terms. “We do talk religiously and we’re close,” James shared. “I think we’re really trying to push the being close and being friends with your ex.”
David & Val
Status: Split
Lo confirmed that David and Val’s romance post-filming was “short-lived.” She alleged to Swooon, “He actually messaged me to let me know that he was dishonest and cheating on her, as well.”
Lo also clarified that she did not get back together with David herself, but said that they spoke in the hotel right after filming ended.
“He’s kind of crept back up [in my messages] recently,” she admitted. “I think maybe he just doesn’t want me to talk super bad about him [in the press].”
Meanwhile, Val shared on Instagram that she’s “asking for my privacy while I process things in my own time,” adding, “I’ll share my story when I’m ready, and on my terms.”
Koray & Leela
Status: Unknown
Koray and Leela have yet to provide an update about their current status, and their castmates were unclear about where they currently stand. They do follow each other on Instagram, though.
Delaney & Keif
Status: Split
Delaney Kluger and Keif Kratochvil actually split during filming after they realized that they were not compatible. While he admitted to wanting a traditional wife who would stay home raising kids, she knew her lifestyle as a model did not match up. They parted ways amicably.
Jake & Christine
Status: Unknown
Jake Rath and Christine Templeton voted to eliminate themselves from the show ahead of the final plank ceremony since they knew they had the least amount of time to develop a relationship out of the remaining couples.
So far, they have not revealed whether they continued their relationship after filming. They do follow each other on Instagram, though.
