Outlander: Blood of My Blood‘s first season may be over, but theOutlanderprequel served up plenty of steamy moments worth revisiting until Season 2 eventually arrives on Starz.
While we also await the arrival of Outlander‘s final season, Blood of My Blood proved to be birds of a feather with its flagship inspiration as forbidden loves, Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy) and Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater), and fated duo Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine), spiced things up onscreen as their respective love stories unfolded across Season 1.
As viewers of Outlander know, Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) are no strangers to embracing their passion for one another, so why shouldn’t their parents be any different? Season 1, Episode 1 – “Providence”
Julia and Henry make quite the entrance as the pair enjoy a little afternoon delight amid the Scottish Highlands. Eager to escape the nosy innkeeper, the couple makes the most of their picnic outing and alone time by getting steamy under the shade of a tree. Thankfully, there are snacks nearby to replenish the energy they exert.

Julia and Henry Can't Wait
Season 1, Episode 2 – “S.W.A.K. (Sealed With a Kiss)”
In a flashback moment before their trip to Scotland, Julia and Henry cannot wait another moment to get to know each other more intimately after exchanging letters amid World War I. After Julia responds to Henry’s letters, the pair’s correspondence makes way for meaningful conversation, so much so that when they finally meet, the pair feels as if they’ve known one another forever. While the pair marries, their pent-up longing for one another combusts just before that official ceremony.

Ellen's Steamy Dream
Season 1, Episode 3 – “School of the Moon”
After Ellen meets Brian at Castle Leoch, she fantasizes about the Highlander hailing from a rival clan, imagining them lying in the grass of Scottish moors. Scantily clad, they speak in whispers, and Brian touches Ellen in a way she’s likely never fantasized about before. As with all fantasies, though, the dream comes to an abrupt end, just as things were spicing up. Mrs. Fitz (Sally Messham), don’t interrupt!

Season 1, Episode 5 – “Needfire”
During Beltane, Ellen and Brian meet away from the crowd and share a passionate first kiss. Proving their devotion to one another, they each put a hand on the other’s heart to feel the racing pulse. While it may only be a kiss, it’s months of pent-up emotions and passion finally bursting through.

Season 1, Episode 5 – “Needfire”
That passion from the kiss leads Brian and Ellen into the castle ruins nearby, where they are handfast, promising themselves to each other, essentially marrying without it being official in front of others. The meaningful declarations of love lead the pair to consummate their relationship under the multi-colored light of a stained glass window. It’s a first-time experience for both parties, making the moment that much more special.

Henry and Julia Reunite
Season 1, Episode 8 – “A Virtuous Woman”
While this may only be a kiss, Julia and Henry’s prolonged separation due to traveling through the standing stones at Craigh Na Dun makes their reunion that much sweeter and steamier. Spotting each other at Castle Leoch, explanations aren’t exactly needed as the couple kisses in the darkened hallways. While there are some questions, mainly from Henry, about the whereabouts of their baby son, it doesn’t lessen the intimacy of this triumphant moment.

Season 1, Episode 10 – “Something Borrowed”
After Brian and Ellen escape Castle Leoch following her nixed nuptials, the pair spend time at a remote shelter with Murtagh (Rory Alexander), but when they finally have a moment alone together, they reignite the passion they experienced at the ruins on Beltane. This time, though, Brian and Ellen have no rush and take their time enjoying their newfound freedom, forgetting the challenges that may lie ahead. In a small room with a fire, it’s Brian and Ellen who are bringing the most heat.
