Meet the Real-Life Loves of the ‘Professor T’ Cast: Ben Miller’s Wife & More
Get ready to solve more crimes with the Professor T crew. On August 24, the fourth season will premiere on PBS. Professor Jasper Tempest (Ben Miller), also known as Professor T, returns to assist the police in solving cases in the picturesque university city of Cambridge.
Season 4 will pick up six months after the shocking Season 3 finale, and the team is still reeling from the loss of DI Lisa Donckers (Emma Naomi). DC Chloe Highsmith (Rhian Blundell), a new member, has to settle in with the team in the wake of tragedy. Meanwhile, the Dean (Douglas Reith) is caught off guard when an old flame walks back into his life.

Ben Miller
Miller plays Professor Jasper Tempest, the genius criminologist at the center of Professor T. The actor married Jessica Parker, daughter of musician Alan Parker, in 2013. They have two children. Miller was previously married to Belinda Stewart-Wilson from 2004 to 2011 and they welcomed a son together.
Juliet Stevenson
Juliet Stevenson, who plays Dr. Helena Goldberg, has been married to her husband, Hugh Brody, since 2011. However, they were together 29 years before they tied the knot. The couple met at a dinner party in 1993. They have two children together.
Sunetra Sarker
Sunetra Sarker, who’s played DCI Maiya Goswami since Season 3, is head over heels in love with her husband, Scott Carey, whom she married in 2018.
“We went to college together in 1991 and reconnected in 2012 — and have been together ever since,” Sarker told HELLO!
The actress was previously married to Nick Corfield from 2003 to 2012. They have a son together.
Frances de la Tour
Frances de la Tour has played Adelaide Tempest since the first season. The actress keeps her personal life out of the spotlight, but she was previously married to actor Tom Kempinski, who died in 2023.
Zoë Wanamaker
Zoë Wanamaker joins the cast in Season 4 as Zelda Radclyffe. The Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone actress was married to actor and playwright Gawn Grainger from 1994 until his death in 2025.
Barney White
Barney White returns as DS Dan Winters in Season 4. The British actor keeps his romantic life out of the public eye, so his relationship status is unclear.
Rhian Blundell
Rhian Blundell plays DC Chloe Highsmith, a new character in Season 4. Blundell’s relationship status is unknown.
Douglas Reith
Reith, who plays the Dean, has kept his personal life private throughout his career, so we don’t have any concrete information about his love life.
Emma Naomi
Emma Naomi’s DI Lisa Donckers was tragically killed at the end of Season 3 after getting hit by a car. The Bridgerton star appears to be single, but she doesn’t share too much of her personal life on social media.
