‘Bridgerton’s Nicola Coughlan & Luke Newton Reunite at SAG Awards, Tease ‘New Version’ of Polin in Season 4

Bridgerton turned out in a major way at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards as the cast celebrated their ensemble nomination in the drama series category, along with Season 3 leading lady Nicola Coughlan‘s solo nomination.

As Coughlan, her onscreen leading man Luke Newton, and more stars hit the red carpet, it was also time for Season 4 teases as they continue production on the latest chapter of Netflix’s Shondaland hit. “It’s great fun this season. You know, Nic and I, we get to explore happily married life. We have a baby…” Newton told Variety.

When asked who the baby looks more like, Newton admitted it’s a close tie. “It’s a really good combination. Probably more like Nic, I think he does look like Nic. And he’s got the red hair… he has to have that. I think that was a request,” he added. “But yeah, and there’s just this beautiful love story this season. I’m so excited for people to see it.”

“It’s something really different from what we’ve explored previously in the show… so I can’t wait to see the bits I’ve not been involved in,” Newton added of Season 4’s main love story between his onscreen brother Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha). Both Thompson and Ha were not present for the ceremony as filming continues in the U.K., but as mentioned, above, many of the ensemble were on the red carpet and in attendance.

Among the stars present included Ruth Gemmell, Hannah Dodd, Adjoa Andoh, Victor Alli, Martins Imhangbe, Emma Naomi, Daniel Francis, Will Tilston, and so many more.
