If you thought Season 1 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives delivered chaos, Season 2 said, “Hold my mocktail.” At this point, it became nearly impossible to keep track of who was fighting with whom—and honestly, it might be easier to count who wasn’t feuding—shoutout to Mikayla and Mayci, our unproblematic besties.
This time, it wasn’t just the mommies of MomTok bringing the drama. The daddies were talking dirty on the golf course, throwing hands at Halloween parties, and awkwardly trying to film TikToks.
With more babies, breakups, betrayals, and Mean Girls costumes than any one group chat should reasonably be able to handle, we took it upon ourselves to rank the couples (or former couples… or situationships) by power status. Who rose to the top—and who got hit by a metaphorical school bus? Let’s get into it.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Season 2, Streaming Now, Hulu
Disney / Fred Hayes
9. Taylor Frankie Paul & Dakota Mortensen
Where do we even begin with these two? The on-again, off-again couple is firmly off again—as Taylor discovers right out the gate that Dakota’s previous dalliance with Jenna Jarvis was more involved than she realized. Jenna even comes on the show to share the receipts. (So helpful, right?)
Despite taking a break, the pair continues coparenting baby Ever… and, yes, they continue having sex. Not exactly peak power couple behavior. They’re clearly still wrapped up in each other’s drama while trying to rally allies from the rest of the cast.
At a family BBQ, Dakota pulls sad faces while Taylor’s loved ones slut-shame her for sleeping with him too soon. It was apparently totally fine for him to sleep with her and another woman though! Cool!
Then came Halloween. Taylor was dressed as Gretchen Wieners as the cat, and Dakota went with the “school bus that hit Regina George” (yes, really). Meanwhile, Chase—Taylor’s former swinging partner and Miranda’s ex-husband—tried to give Dakota his very one-sided version of SwingGate. Taylor was not impressed and a massive fight ensued. Dakota did not exhibit power couple behavior, as he didn’t defend Taylor or even try to deescalate the situation.

8. Layla Taylor & Cameron Jolley
Layla, a divorcee and mother of two, entered a sweet (if short-lived) Season 2 romance with fellow Mormon Cameron Jolley. The vibes were solid: He seemed committed to her pleasure, and her friends even threw a sexual wellness party to help her embrace that side of herself. Love that.
But trouble bubbled up mid-season, only for them to patch things up in time for Friendsgiving—then call it quits once filming wrapped. Layla later said the breakup felt “convenient” and that she felt “used,” suggesting Cameron might have been more into his 15 minutes of fame than into her. If true, they definitely lose power couple points.

7. Miranda McWhorter & Jake Baum
The newest member of the group chat and not officially inducted into MomTok just yet, Miranda debuts her new beau, Jake Baum. And honestly? We already like him more than her ex, Chase. Especially after the Halloween party.
Bonus points: Jake and Miranda showed up as a Mr. Krabs-themed couple. Love a themed duo.
We didn’t get much more from them, so we can’t officially call them a power couple just yet. But unlike the chaos from the previous pairings, we don’t have any red flags either. Consider us cautiously optimistic.

6. Jennifer & Zac Affleck
Now here’s a couple that’s been through the absolute most.
First, there was Season 1’s Chippendales debacle. Then Season 2 doubled down with Halloween lap dances, a cease and desist, and the ever-expanding Affleck family tree. Things escalated to the point where Jen stepped back from filming for her mental health—especially after discovering her unplanned pregnancy.
Jen and Zac have engaged in some intense finger-pointing, which is not very slay power couple behavior, to be honest. He said the Ben Affleck claim was a joke she wouldn’t stop repeating. She said she had no idea he was planning that stripper performance. It’s giving… messy.
Still, despite public and cast criticism, they’re sticking it out. Zac’s even attending ketamine therapy with her and conquering his fear of Chippendales. If nothing else, they’re showing up—for better or worse.
Mayci Neely / Instagram
5. Mayci & Jacob Neely
Mayci is holding strong as the season’s only remaining Saint, while everyone else edges into Sinner territory. She spent the season staying above the drama, while Jacob said… very little.
Their biggest moment came when they revealed Mayci’s pregnancy. They’d kept their IVF journey private, and Jacob wanted to keep it that way. Mayci agreed—until Test Roulette happened. Oops.
Mayci also landed a book deal to tell Her Story, which turned out to be heartbreakingly real: She was pregnant at 19 when her boyfriend died. Jacob may be quiet, but he’s clearly supportive. We stan a silent but steady partner.
Disney / Fred Hayes
4. Mikayla Matthews & Jace Terry
This man may not have said a full sentence all season, but the internet (and we) adore him. Jace dressed up as the Burn Book for Halloween while Mikayla went as Karen the Mouse—yes, another Mean Girls moment.
Most importantly, Jace was there for Mikayla as she opened up to her sisters about past sexual abuse. A gentle hand on her back in that scene said everything. Quiet support? Emotional presence? A dad-to-be in 2025? That’s power couple material right there.
Jordan Ngatikaura / Instagram
3. Jessi & Jordan Ngatikaura
When it comes to Jessi and Jordan, we haven’t seen much of them together. Jessi was busy running her JZ hair empire and keeping things glam. Jordan mostly showed up to yell “Take accountability!” at Chase—a moment that lives rent-free in our heads.
There were allegations from Marciano from Vanderpump Villa that he had an affair with Jessi, which she strongly denies. So… TBD.
Disney / Fred Hayes
2. Demi & Bret Engemann
Now this is a tricky one. On paper, Demi and Bret scream power couple. They’ve been open about fertility struggles, embraced their blended family, and stood united all season long—especially as Demi took down threats like Jen and Taylor with absolute precision.
Bret played the Yes-Man role to perfection, including organizing fake snow at Christmas while Demi made Taylor’s mom cry. Sweet and savage!
So why aren’t they at the top of our list? Well, rumors followed Demi back from Vanderpump Villa alleging an affair with server/reality star Marciano. Then a blind item slid into Mayci’s DMs claiming Bret also cheated while Demi was out of town. They both denied it—but cameras caught Demi saying Bret seemed too bothered by the rumor. Hmmm…
Whitney Leavitt / Instagram
1. Whitney & Conner Leavitt
And in first place: Our reigning villainess of Season 1 and her surprisingly redeemed husband—he is NOT on dating apps anymore, he swears!
Whitney and Conner welcomed baby Billy Gene this season, complete with a birth video. Conner thanked Whitney for carrying their child (take notes, other men!), and he was a doting dad at every turn—smiling with DadTok, holding the baby when Whitney was done using him as a cute prop, and nodding supportively through all her speeches.
Plus, Whitney managed the impossible, and she did it postpartum: a truce with Demi. With a redemption arc and a trophy husband to match, this duo takes our crown. Will they hold onto it?
