Dozens of couples have competed on The Amazing Race over the years. The show has seen partners who have been married for years, and others who are newlyweds, engaged, or even just recently dating.
During Season 12, players from two different teams even formed a romantic connection and started a romance of their own once filming ended. Christina Hsu & Azaria Azene
These two didn’t compete on The Amazing Race as a team, but actually met while competing against each other on the show! Hsu and Azene were both on Season 12, but their relationship began after filming ended. When Hsu returned for Season 18, she revealed that she was engaged to Azene. They tied the knot in 2011 and have two children.

Cody Nickson & Jessica Graf
Cody Nickson and Jessica Graf’s Big Brother showmance turned into a real-life love story after they met on Season 19. Their reality television days weren’t over, though, as they teamed up for Season 30 of The Amazing Race as a dating couple … and won! Now, they’re married with four children.
After meeting and falling in love on Survivor, Rob Mariano and Amber Mariano took their love to The Amazing Race. While engaged, they competed on Season 7 and finished in second place. They returned for Season 11 (All-Stars), at which point they had tied the knot. After coming in first place during the first three legs of the race, they ended up being the fourth team eliminated.
Luckily, they had a lot to return home to. At that time, the Marianos were parents to two daughters, and have since welcomed two more.

Josh Kilmer-Purcell & Brent Ridge
Married couple Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge won Season 21 of The Amazing Race. They met online in 2000 and are now running the successful skincare line Beekman 1802.

Whitney Duncan & Keith Tollefson
Whitney Duncan and Keith Tollefson competed on Season 25 of The Amazing Race as an engaged couple. In fact, they actually changed their wedding date so they’d be available to run the race! The pair met on Season 23 of Survivor and started dating after the show. They tied the knot in 2014 and have one child together.

Rachel Reilly & Brendon Villegas
Rachel Reilly and Brandon Villegas are another Big Brother couple who took their love to the Race. The two met on Season 12 of Big Brother and then competed on Seasons 22 and 24 of The Amazing Race. For their first run, they were engaged and finished in third place. When they returned, they had tied the knot and finished in third place once again. They share two children.

Kim & Penn Holderness
Kim Holderness and Penn Holderness are known for being internet personalities in addition to winning Season 33 of the Race. They became the oldest couple to win the show when they took home the W. Kim and Penn have been married for nearly 20 years and have three children.

Nicole Franzel & Victor Arroyo
Another Big Brother couple came to the Race when Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo took on Season 31. They were dating at the time and came in fourth place. After a three-year engagement and needing to postpone their wedding due to COVID-19, the couple got married in 2021 and have one son.
Kelsey Gerckens & Joey Buttitta
Kelsey Gerckens and Joey Buttitta were news anchors who were dating when they competed on Season 27 of The Amazing Race (and won!) After the show aired, they got engaged and went on to marry in 2017. Today, they are the proud parents of three sons.
