Heaven Sent! ‘The Righteous Gemstones’ Cast & Their Real-Life Loves
The final season of The Righteous Gemstones is in full swing, and fans anxiously await how the HBO comedy series will come to a close. The HBO banger has been a hit from the get-go, and we’re not quite ready to say goodbye to the Gemstone family.
With the core main characters remaining through the four seasons, the audience has become attached to the complicated (but outrageously funny) individuals portrayed on screen. Sure, they aren’t people with the best moral compass, but they sure are entertaining.

Danny McBride
Danny McBride and Gia Ruiz tied the knot in 2010. McBride stars as Jesse Gemstone and also created The Righteous Gemstones. His wife is in the entertainment business as well but takes on a completely different role. Ruiz is a film director.They have two children, a son and a daughter. McBride and Ruiz are very private. They live in Charleston, South Carolina.
John Goodman
Married for over 30 years, John Goodman’s love story with wife Anna Beth Goodman began in the late ’80s. The two met at a Halloween party in New Orleans while Goodman was taking a break from filming Everybody’s All-American. Anna Beth approached him. A year later, they started dating.
Splitting their time between New Orleans and Los Angeles, the Goodmans have strong ties to the South. The actor, who plays Eli Gemstone, reigns from Missouri, while his spouse is a Louisiana native. They have one daughter, Molly, together. She was born in 1990, a year after her parents tied the knot.
Adam DeVine
Adam DeVine and Chloe Bridges met the way plenty of other actors have met before — on the way to a movie set. Seated on the same plane to New Orleans to film The Final Girls in Baton Rouge, Bridgers started to chat with DeVine (who plays Kelvin Gemstone). This meet-cute turned into a full-fledged relationship.
In 2019, DeVine asked The Carrie Dairies star to marry him and she accepted, or as DeVine explained on Instagram, “Well actually she said ‘ahh Adam’ and then kissed me but I’m pretty sure that means YES!” The Modern Family alum continued, “I love Chloe more than anything and I’m so excited to spend the rest of my life with her amazing self.” Their first child, Beau DeVine, was born on March 8, 2024.
Walton Goggins
Walton Goggins‘ The White Lotus Season 3 character has taken the world by storm, but to Righteous Gemstones fans, he’s Baby Billy Freeman.
Goggins and his wife, Nadia Conners, were set up on a blind date in 2005, unbeknownst to Goggins. They have been thriving ever since. They married in 2011 and welcomed their son, Augustus, as well. After living in Los Angeles for a long time, the family relocated to the Hudson Valley in 2021.
Edi Patterson
Married since 2003, Edi Patterson and her husband, Daniel J. O’Connor, are still very much in love.
Taking to Instagram to profess her love, Patterson, aka Judy Gemstone, gushed in 2020, “My valentine has cool guy glasses that go from tinted to see-thru depending on the sunlight, and that’s not even a fraction of a percentage of the reasons that I love him ❤️.” The two are very open about their longstanding romance.
Tony Cavalero
Tony and Annie Cavalero are always ready to share some sweet words about each other to the world. Reminiscing about their days as newlyweds, the 41-year-old actor, who plays Keefe Chambers, decided to look back at his romance in 2023. “Eight years looks good on us honey 🫶SWIPE RIGHT👉 for the THEN and NOW! Happy Anniverse @anniecavalero ❤️ more and more with every year!” he wrote on Instagram. The couple, who married in 2015, frequently attend red carpets together.
Tim Baltz and Lily Sullivan
Tim Baltz and Lily Sullivan might play siblings, BJ and KJ, on The Righteous Gemstones, but that is not the case in real life.
The costars are married! Poking fun at their familiar ties on the show, Sullivan took to Instagram to post, “Feeling very lucky I got to play my fiancé’s sister on @therighteousgemstones! BJ + KJ 4ever 💕💕💕.” The comedians said “I do” to each other in 2022.
Greg Alan Williams
Gregory “Greg” Alan Williams shares quite a few personal tidbits on his personal Instagram, ranging from proud dad posts to allowing the world to see how passionate he is about his job. However, Williams, who plays Martin Imari, prefers to keep his personal life private, but he is in a relationship.
Skyler Gisondo
Skyler Gisondo, who stars as Gideon Gemstone, hasn’t shared much about his love life since he was in a relationship with Ari Haagen. It’s unclear whether or not he is currently dating anyone.
Cassidy Freeman
A devoted family person, Cassidy Freeman (Amber Gemstone) often posts photos of her daughter and boyfriend on social media. Previously married to Justin Carpenter, she moved on with her current partner, Ben Ellsworth. In 2022, Freeman became a first-time parent when Gigi was born. Ellsworth already had a kid from a previous relationship.
Jennifer Nettles
Meeting on the music video set of “Want To,” Jennifer Nettles‘ band Sugarland‘s 2006 single, Nettles and Justin Miller hit it off. However, they didn’t start dating until a couple of years later in 2009. After that, things progressed quickly. Nettles and Miller made things official in 2011. Their son, Magnus, was born in December 2012. The couple leads a pretty private life. Miller used to be a model but has since focused on other pursuits. Nettles plays Amber-Leigh Gemstone in the HBO comedy series.
