Naturally, we found ourselves with plenty of ships by the time we finished watching Season 1. We’re crossing our fingers that Prime Video renews The Runarounds for Season 2, but we aren’t letting the lack of news stop us from looking ahead when it comes to romance. Below, we’ve ranked our favorite couples and potential romances that we want to see in the future.
From Neil and Bender to Charlie and Sophia, keep scrolling to find out who’s our ultimate favorite duo. And let us know in the comments if you agree with our order!

7. Hannah & Catesby
Let’s be honest, most of us aren’t tuning in for the parents’ storylines. Still, it’s obvious there’s still a spark between Hannah (Brooklyn Decker) and Catesby (Mark Wystrach) when they interact, even almost two decades after they broke up. Now that Catesby knows that he’s Charlie’s father, he isn’t going to be out of Hannah’s life any time soon. We wouldn’t mind it if they rekindled their romance in a potential Season 2, but read on for who we’d rather Hannah end up with.

6. Hannah & Finn
Yep, we prefer Finn (Hayes MacArthur) and Hannah, and we hope they don’t break up in Season 2. They’re fun together, and, obviously, Finn is dedicated to keeping his family together. Also, Charlie doesn’t need the drama of his parents getting divorced in Season 2. They spent most of Season 1 stressed about if they’d have to give up their house or not. Now that Charlie and his record deal have saved the day, the show should just let Finn and Hannah be happy. We want to see more of them!

5. Amanda & Izzy
This one might be a bit of a stretch, but are we crazy for thinking there was a vibe between Izzy (Emme Sibulkin) and Amanda (Kelley Pereira) when they were trying to get the band a record deal? Now that Amanda has come to terms with her sexuality and broken up with Topher, we’re rooting for her to get a love interest in Season 2. Assuming that Izzy is in her early 20s, we can totally see Amanda and Izzy falling for each other as they manage the band. They would totally be a power couple!

4. Bender & Amanda
Could the friends become lovers in Season 2? Bender (Marley Aliah) offered to kiss Amanda when they visited the Oz estate in Episode 5. It was more about confirming Amanda’s sexuality rather than exploring any romantic connection with each other. Bender is quick to clarify that she tends to kiss her friends when she’s drunk or high, which makes Amanda look a bit… disappointed?
We aren’t totally sure, since they don’t really address their kiss for the rest of the season. Only time will tell if they get together, and honestly, we wouldn’t be opposed to them starting a relationship. However, there are other ships that we’re rooting for even more, which is why Bender and Amanda aren’t at the top of the list.

3. Sophia & Wyatt
Something was in the air when the gang visited Oz because we picked up on another potential romance. Sophia (Lilah Pate) and Wyatt had a heart-to-heart about their moms, and while it could’ve been purely platonic, the scene may be hinting that something could happen between them down the line. Honestly, we’re hoping for exactly that. As much as we enjoy Charlie and Sophia together, they aren’t exactly the most stable of couples. (Charlie stole her diary, made a song out of her entries, and performed it, for crying out loud.) We can see them having a falling out, and Wyatt being there to pick up the pieces. He and Sophia can relate to and comfort each other, as we’ve already seen. We need more!

2. Sophia & Charlie
The only reason we ship Charlie with Sophia more than Wyatt is because they’ve had more time to develop their relationship. As problematic as Charlie might have been in his attempts to woo Sophia, his heart’s in the right place. And in the finale, he ran out in the middle of the most important performance of his life to declare his love for her. That’s peak romance. What’s more, we love that they’re creative partners as well as romantic partners. Obviously, it’s working well for them and the band, so we don’t really want them to split anytime soon. (Maybe the show will give Wyatt a love interest in Season 2, and we’ll stop shipping him with Sophia. We’ll see.)

1. Bender & Neil
We are firmly on Team Bender and Neil. Their arc is to die for in Season 1, with Bender having a one-sided crush, and Neil finally getting it together and realizing that she’s the one for him in the end. (We did not enjoy the whole Phoebe diversion.) They have the banter, they have the chemistry, they have the strong foundation of their friendship. Plus, both characters are so cool and funny, and we want them to be cool and funny and happy together in Season 2. We’re begging the writers not to put any more obstacles in their path, though we know that’s a lot to ask. (We’re asking anyway.) Still, we do want to see Bender to live up to her promise and make Neil work for it a little. Don’t make it too easy on him, girl!
