‘Welcome to Plathville’ Couples Guide: Inside the Plath Family’s Relationships
TLC viewers have gotten to know the Plath family very well since their show, Welcome to Plathville, first premiered in 2019. The show will be returning for its seventh season this summer, and as always, there’s a lot to catch everybody up on. It’s been nearly a year since new episodes of the reality show came out.
The Plath family consists of Kim Plath, Barry Plath, and their nine children: Ethan, Hosanna, Micah, Moriah, Lydia, Isaac, Amber, Cassia, and Mercy. The show follows the conservative family living their lives in rural Georgia, with several of the children fighting to break free from the restrictive lifestyles they were raised under.

Kim & Barry Plath
Kim Plath and Barry Plath are the heads of the family. They got married in July 1997 and had 10 children together (their son Joshua died at 15 months old in 2008).
After 24 years of marriage, Kim and Barry separated at the end of 2021. When she filed for divorce in June 2024, she requested primary custody of the pair’s three minor children.
The aftermath of the pair’s split has been documented on Welcome to Plathville and will continue to be a storyline in Season 7. Kim moved on from Barry with Ken Palmer, whom she’s been dating since 2023.
Ethan Plath
Ethan Plath is the eldest child in the family. In January 2025, he went public with his relationship with Teegan Nichols. Online reports have said that the two are engaged, but they have not confirmed the rumors.
Ethan was previously married to Olivia Plath. They wed in 2018, but separated in 2023 and filed for divorce the following year.
“It truly was the best decision for me and I have received countless messages from other women saying that watching me walk away and choose better for myself gave them the courage to leave their situation,” Olivia shared.
She also added, “Many people assume that because my relationship was on TV, they know all of the details of what happened even behind closed doors when cameras were not around. They can’t fathom that maybe systems, networks or individuals would hide extremely problematic behavior so that they aren’t cancelled. They also can’t fathom that maybe I didn’t or don’t have the power or legal clearance to expose or even tell the unfiltered truth about what *I* experienced, unfortunately.”
Lydia Plath
Lydia Plath debuted her relationship with Zac Wyse in November 2024. The following month, they got engaged, then wasted no time walking down the aisle. Lydia and Zac wed in February 2025.
Micah Plath
Micah Plath dated Veronica Peters for about two years before they split at the beginning of 2025.
“Getting rid of him was truly like getting rid of a parasite,” she wrote on Reddit, per The Ashley. “I have him blocked- he keeps reaching out to my friends. I know he is in the local area and it honestly scares me.”
Moriah Plath
Moriah Plath dated Max Kallschmidt for just over a year before they split in 2021. They broke up after he confessed to cheating on her.
“I want to clear up — and this is the most important to me — is he brought my family into this unnecessarily,” Moriah said on an episode of the TLC show. “He put some of the blame on me, some of the blame on them. He didn’t take full responsibility for his actions. That’s not okay.”
She moved on with Matthew Craven, but they ended up splitting in 2024.
Hosanna Plath
Hosanna Plath is not a regular cast member on her family’s show. She married husband Timothy Noble in 2019, three years after they met at the National Quartet Convention. The couple shares three children, lives in Ohio, and performs music together.
