Love Island Games is more cutthroat (and physically challenging) than ever. Not only are the Islanders at risk based on their performance in challenges, but now viewers have a say in who stays in the game. The public’s opinion is just as important as that of their fellow contestants this time around.

Eight episodes in, a number of bombshells have already entered the villa, such as Season 1 competitors Justine Ndiba and Johnny Middlebrooks, but nearly just as many have been sent home. So, who was the first Islander to get dumped? Who fell victim to the first double elimination of Season 2? Which pair went from power couple to ex-Islanders in just a handful of episodes?

Find out which fan-favorite Islanders are out of the running for the $250,000 prize, and keep coming back after every episode to get a refresher on who’s been sent home and why.

Kay Kay Gray & Chris Seeley

Eliminated: Episode 8

Kay Kay and Chris were one of the stronger couples in the villa, both in the game and connection-wise, but they both lost in Episode 8’s shocking duel.

So how did they get there? Nicola Gauci Borda-Warr and Isaiah Campbell wound up a power couple at the end of the heart rate challenge in Episode 7. Out of the three couples in the bottom, they had to pick two boys to duel each other and two girls. It wasn’t an easy decision, but they pitted Johnny against Chris and Kay Kay against Andrea Carmona.

Their setup? A boxing ring divided into two blue and two yellow zones. A weighted training bag would drop in the middle of the ring. Each player got assigned a color, and they had to wrestle the bag into their zone and keep it there by the time the buzzer sounded.

Compared to Johnny and Chris’, Andrea and Kay Kay’s battle was more straightforward, with Andrea winning the first two out of three rounds, making herself safe.

Johnny and Chris’ duel was a close call, with the first round going to Johnny. However, they couldn’t proceed with the next one because Chris injured his middle finger while holding onto the bag. The show’s medics advised him to stop, so Chris ultimately took himself out of the running after that.

Mert Okatan, Netherlands & Belgium; Solène Favreau, France of 'Love Island Games' Season 2

Mert Otakan & Solène Favreau

Eliminated: Episode 6

Episode 6 saw a brutal double elimination. Season 2 introduced a new twist with the public vote, which took place for the first time at the end of Episode 4.

Mert Otakan and Solène Favreau almost made it to safety after performing well in Episode 6’s “Laying the Field” challenge, but Kay Kay Gray and Chris Seeley came out on top. As a power couple, they were instructed to make one couple vulnerable that wasn’t already. They went with Mert and Solène, thinking their bond was less strong as a friendship couple.

After that, the public vote came into play. When it came down to which couple was America’s favorite, Mert and Solène had the least amount of votes in their favor.

Charlie Georgiou of 'Love Island Games' Season 2

Charlie Georgiou

Eliminated: Episode 3

Love Island Games wasted no time in sending its first Islander packing. Charlie entered as a heartbreaker at the end of Episode 1, stealing Andrea Carmona from Josh Goldstein. Josh challenged Charlie to a duel in Episode 2, and when Charlie lost, he became vulnerable. He had a chance at saving himself when Season 1 champ Justine entered the villa as a bombshell, but they lost their duo challenge to Nicola Gauci Borda-Warr and Isaiah Campbell.

Ultimately, Episode 3’s dumping came down to an Islander vote between the two contestants that had broken heart necklaces: Kendall Washington and Charlie. More contestants wanted Kendall to stay, so Charlie had to leave the villa. The circumstances were similar to Charlie’s Love Island USA Season 7 elimination, though this time around, it came a few episodes earlier.
