‘Adults’ Bosses Tease Potential Season 2 Room Swaps After Love Triangle Reveal
Adults will return for Season 2 later this month, but how much has changed for the housemates at the center of FX’s hilarious comedy?
As viewers will recall, Season 1 concluded with the cliffhanger revelation that Anton (Owen Thiele) and Paul Baker (Jack Innanen) have a mutual attraction after sharing a buzzy kiss following their wedding. The marriage was the result of an effort to keep Canadian Paul Baker in the country after his visa expired.
But now that this situation between the friends has arisen, especially amid Paul Baker’s ongoing relationship with Anton’s bestie, Issa (Amita Rao), we can’t help but wonder how that’s impacting the house dynamics. When TV Insider caught up with the cast on the red carpet at Season 2’s Tribeca Film Festival premiere, series creators Rebecca Shaw and Ben Kronengold offered some insights.
“The bed situation that we took for granted suddenly gets a lot more complicated in Season 2,” Shaw muses. “So, that obviously means the roommates who everyone used to have have to rejigger a little bit,” she teases, adding, “There’s going to be a lot of comedy to be found in that as well.”
