“Doing it for the plot and the planet,” is Taylor Krause’s Instagram bio, and it’s also a perfect way to describe her. The new Love Is Blind star is the environmentally aware scientist we’ve all been waiting for, and her fashion game is just as iconic. Taylor really is that girl. And luckily for her, the experience seems to have worked. Or at least initially. Only the first six episodes have been released, everything can change from this point onwards.

Yet, it’s important to note that Taylor is the perfect candidate to explain the Washington D.C. Love Is Blind pool. With beauty, grace, and a whole lot of intellect, the 29-year-old establishes her presence. Scroll down for a refresher on all things Taylor.

What does Taylor do for a living?

Amongst lawyers, real estate agents, and a bunch of people in tech, Taylor fits right into this group. As a federal clean energy policy consultant, she truly is in the right spot for her career. The impressive Taylor specializes in clean hydrogen energy.

Starting her journey in atmospheric science, she quickly found herself in that field. With experience ranging from NASA’s Student Airborne Research Program to a Master of Science from Johns Hopkins University, Taylor, who said to wants someone who likes her for her mind, sure has a lot to offer. Besides her impressive resume, she also seems to be a kind person with a major funny bone.

Where is Taylor from?

Originally from San Diego, Taylor stayed in California for college before heading to the nation’s capital in 2020 as part of the Clean Energy Leadership Institute fellow program.

Taylor’s mom was born in Hong Kong. Talking about her parents, Taylor mentioned how they “are just, like, the kindest people.” Giving more background information, she talked about how her dad builds houses, and even built their family’s home. Being super positive about her mom, she called her “an angel and a gangster at the same time.”

Who does Taylor end up with?

Taylor and Garrett Josemans found love in the pods, and they have quite a bit in common. The first thing they connected on was science. Garrett, who is a physicist, and Taylor quickly started flirting in a unique way relating to their fields.

More surprisingly, they both have tattooes that represent their niche. Taylor has a tattoo of the hydrogen symbol on her wrist, while Garrett has a quantum equation on the back of his right arm. Their love for science was often described as “nerdy” by them. In the pods, Taylor even jokingly said Garrett was “talking dirty” to her when they were talking about science.

Seemingly hitting it off from the get-go, they only had one blip in the road. After Taylor alluded to Garrett that she didn’t want to reveal her ethnicity (so that he would have no idea what she could potentially look like) by saying her mom’s name, Garrett suddenly became quite defensive. During his response, he told her that she was “calculated” about what she said. He noted that it was something he loved about her, but being secretive made him think, “What’s she hiding?”

She responded by saying, “I guess it’s hard to hear that. “But they got over it and ended up getting engaged. Once they met up, Garrett and Taylor were overjoyed, especially Garrett, who couldn’t believe how beautiful his new fiancée was.
