Jenn Tran & Sasha Farber Dish on Their Relationship and Future After ‘DWTS’ Finale
The Bachelorette star Jenn Tran and pro dancer Sasha Farber were linked together romantically after they were paired up on Dancing with the Stars this season. But when Farber handed Tran a rose in the finale’s opening number, she promptly tossed it away.
Swooon was on the post-show red carpet last night and quizzed the couple on the status of their relationship. You’d think a couple that cohabitates and playfully squabbles better than the Bickersons is the real thing – maybe, maybe not!
“I hate roses!” Tran exclaimed to Swooon when asked why she didn’t hang onto Farber’s flower. “I’m never accepting a rose from a man ever again. Or giving out a rose! Roses are dead to me!”
The rose bit was a collaborative effort that came from the show’s creative team. “I’ll be right back,” quipped Farber off Tran’s hating roses remark as he pretended to exit the press line.
As for cohabitating, the pair had some answers that were more about being practical than romantic. Farber offered that late-night rehearsals and Tran needing a place to crash resulted in her moving in with him for a bit. “He has dogs that need to be walked and fed, dishes to be cleaned, and meals to be made, laundry,” Tran said.
“You didn’t do any of those things,” a semi-exasperated Farber interjected. “Yes, I did,” Tran countered.
“You made those things [need attention],” Farber shot back. “She needs to look for a house!”
Whether couples emerge as friends, lovers, or sparring partners (as the case seems to be here), Farber admitted he never goes into a DWTS season with any expectations of what might happen with the celeb with whom he’s paired. “You go in blind, and you come out on top or on the bottom,” he said. “It’s a sink or swim situation.”
We know that the couple won’t be spending time on stage during the upcoming DWTS tour. Tran has said she won’t be partaking alongside other Season 33 celebrities. “It wasn’t in the cards for me,” she revealed. “But we’re going to try to look for other opportunities for us.”
“For us? What do you mean us?” responded a stunned Farber.
Farber brought up his plans to do dance conventions starting in January (he’s actually not on the tour talent list either). Tran is going to continue with dance classes and start school back in the 2025 as she studies to become a physician’s assistant. “She’s going to stick in IV in me,” Farber dryly said.
