Love Island USA Season 8 isn’t slowing down on the bombshells, and we’re all here for the never-ending villa drama. During Episode 6, viewers will meet three new additions at once: Caleb McDaniel, Jen Terry, and Sol Dean.
We couldn’t wait to learn more about the trio until they make their reality TV debuts, but we couldn’t help ourselves. We did some digging into Sol’s background ahead of her entrance. What is Sol Dean’s age?
Sol is 24 years old. She developed a passion for performance at an early age, according to her professional bio, through creating skits with her brother and cheerleading. Her father also taught her how to sing and act as a child.
She explained in a 2024 Voyage LA interview, “Began writing my own music in my junior year of high school, inspired once again by my father being a poet. He helped me understand what I was feeling and was able to help me express it through my writing.”
Where is Sol Dean’s from?
Sol was born in Orange, California, and raised in various cities, including Chicago. “I developed a love for travel and diverse cultures,” Sol wrote in her bio. “Nature fuels me, whether through yoga, hiking, or time outdoors (though my pugs don’t always agree!).”
What is Sol Dean’s job?
Sol is a model as well as a performer. According to her bio, she was discovered at the U.S. Open of Surfing after she started to apply to modeling agencies during her senior year of high school. “After getting multiple no’s from several different agencies I kept the saying, ‘You get 100 no’s before you get a Yes,'” she told Voyage LA. “That saying I’ve always spoken to myself gave me the persistence to keep applying knowing that there was one for me I just haven’t found it yet.”
She continued, “After two years in Chicago accumulating myself with the people in the area getting some jobs, doing some Runway, Ecom and print work, I decided to move back out to California where I then got signed with The Option Agency as well. They helped me book my first campaign this year with New Era which was exciting! Overall just been helping me solidify myself in California again in the entertainment industry.”
In December 2025, she was on her first magazine cover. “Did my first magazine with Numero New York and i have my own page!!!” Sol wrote on Instagram. “Prayed for stuff like this, a BIGGGG thank you to @photogenicsla you guys are amazing. so blessed to have goals/dreams I wanted come to fruition (the first magazine on my coffee table in my first place and I’m in it!!! Such a blessing to say that.”
