With a name as unique as his, Sincere Rhea is bound to stand out in the Love Island USA Season 8 cast. “I love my name. I like to be cheesy. I often end my emails with ‘Sincerely, Sincere,'” he says in the cast introduction video, which was revealed days ahead of the June 2 premiere.

Sincere traveled to Fiji from Cape May, New Jersey. However, he’s lived in several different states throughout his college career. His hometown is Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he was raised by his mom and grandma.

What does Sincere Rhea do for a living?
Sincere’s current job isn’t widely known, though he is a former collegiate track-and-field athlete who specializes in hurdles. He started on Penn State University’s team in 2020 and then transferred to the University of Miami in 2022. There, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Media Studies in 2024, per his LinkedIn profile. He also competed in the 11o-meter hurdles event at national championships during his undergrad years.

In 2024-2025, He completed his final season at Texas Tech. There, he placed seventh in the 60m hurdles at the 2025 Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Championships. He started working toward a Graduate Certificate in Sports Studies in May 2025.
