Selena Gomez & Benny Blanco Engaged: ‘Forever Begins Now’
Selena Gomez has found her forever. The Only Murders in the Building star announced she’s engaged to Benny Blanco after one year of dating.
The actress and beauty mogul showed off her engagement ring and the moments after Blanco’s proposal in a December 11 Instagram post. Blanco popped the question with a massive marquise diamond ring with a diamond band. Blanco planned a romantic picnic on a set and proposed to his love. “Forever begins now,” she captioned the post.

The songwriter commented on Gomez’s post, “Hey wait… that’s my wife.” Celebrities flooded the comments section with their well wishes. Her bestie Taylor Swift commented, “Yes I will be the flower girl.” Jennifer Aniston wrote, “HONEY!! Congratulations sweet mama!” Cardi B responded, “Waiiiitttt hold on,” along with shocked face emojis.
The Vampire Diaries alum Nina Dobrev commented, “YES !!!! Congratulations!!!!! So happy for you both!!!!” Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay sent her “congratulations” as well.
Gomez and Blanco started dating in 2023. After months of staying private about their relationship, the couple confirmed their romance in December 2023. The Rare Beauty founder responded to fan account posts about the pair, “He is my absolute everything in my heart.”
Unlike her past relationships, Gomez has been open about her feelings for Blanco. “Without getting into too much detail, I think it’s just really important to meet someone that respects you,” she previously told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. “And I think it’s really nice to also lean on someone who understands the world that I live in. But I’d have to say overall it’s the safest that I feel , and it’s been really lovely, and I’ve only grown through it, so it’s awesome.”
