‘The Flip Off’: Christina Haack Wishes She Got a Prenup or ‘Never Married’ Josh Hall Amid Messy Divorce

Christina Haack has been laser-focused on winning The Flip Off against Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae El Moussa following her split from Josh Hall. Unfortunately, she couldn’t ignore the drama that came with the messy divorce amid the competition.
During Episode 5 on Wednesday, February 26, Haack met up with her friend Cassie to discuss the latest in the proceedings.
“While construction is happening at my flip, I had to deal with some real life stuff,” she explained in a confessional. “I own a home in Tennessee, and for the past couple of years, Josh and I had spent a lot of time there. With everything going on and the fact that I’m not spending any time there anymore, I decided it was time to get all my stuff out of the house.”
Haack admitted that things were “crazy” because of how much money Hall was allegedly asking for in their divorce. “Honestly, if I would’ve really understood the repercussions of all of this, I would’ve gotten a prenup or I never would have married him,” she shared. “When my parents got to the house, this [quad] was gone. He took it. He thinks all of this is his even though I bought this before the marriage. That’s when I was like, ‘I need to get all of this out of here. He’s just going to steal it all.'”
She went on to explain that her estranged husband was trying to make her “offers,” which she found “confusing” because she couldn’t understand why someone “would want to do that” to her. “Especially someone that didn’t work for a few years that would take advantage of me,” she said. “Literally, the last offer he made me, I thought was asinine. The next one is worse. More money.”
Cassie was flabbergasted and stood by her friend. “I don’t understand [how] when there’s no children involved that you could share. It was a short marriage,” she pointed out. Haack admitted that the situation was “exhausting” and concluded, “I just can’t wait for it to be done, but I don’t think that’s going to happen anytime soon.”
She didn’t have long to dwell on it, though, because it was soon time for judges Izzy Battres and Jeff Lawrence to decide on the winner for the remaining miscellaneous rooms in the flips. They chose Haack as the winner for added value and use of space, but the El Moussa were the ultimate victors for this portion of the competition, taking home overall design, transformation, and craftsmanship. That means that Haack will have to give them $2,000 towards the final round of competition: the exterior.
The winner will be decided during the March 5 finale. Right now, the El Moussas are winning 3-2, but the ultimate champion will be decided by who gets a better return on investment (ROI) on their property.
