How Much Is Prince Harry in Meghan Markle’s New Netflix Series ‘With Love, Meghan’?
With Love, Meghan premiered on March 4, and fans of the Suits alum have been excited to see this new chapter for Duchess of Sussex. Understandably, they’ve also been wondering how much of her husband, Prince Harry, will be seen on the show.
Over the course of the series, Markle invited friends and famous guests to a beautiful California estate and shared cooking, gardening, and hosting tips. While Harry & Meghan was a joint venture for the couple, this new Netflix series mainly was a solo expedition for Markle.
Prince Harry is only seen in the last episode of the series. The British royal didn’t want to overpower Markle‘s project. Crew members on the set noted to PEOPLE, “Whenever Harry visited set, he was always super polite and friendly … But it was clear he wanted this to be Meghan’s moment to shine.”
Throwing a brunch at the end of the first season of With Love, Meghan in celebration of her brand As Ever, Markle created the picture-perfect party. With flower-crusted cookies, hemp heart-sprinkled veggies, and a mimosa in her future, she happily exclaimed, “Of course, my husband will be here. My mom will be here. My best friend since college. Just my community.”
Fast-forward to the brunch, Prince Harry could be seen standing in the midst of the crowd as Markle gave a speech. Speaking to the group, she said, “Thank you for loving me so much and celebrating with me.” Her husband smiled widely as he quickly followed with, “To you.”
Besides her husband, Markle’s other With Love, Meghan guests included Mindy Kaling, Roy Choi, Abigail Spencer, and more.
The couple has been working together ever since they married in 2018. From their joint production company Archewell Productions to the documentary Harry & Meghan, the duo knows how to work together well, but With Love, Meghan is Markle’s solo passion project.
Before her marriage to Prince Harry, the 43-year-old had her blog The Tig, which focused on food, travel, and wellness. Markle is proud of her endeavor as is Prince Harry. “My husband met me when I had The Tig, and I see this spark in his eye when he sees me doing the thing that I was doing when he first met me,” she told PEOPLE.
With lots of experience filming as an actor, she divulged that With Love, Meghan was a completely different experience for her. “I was never really in front of the camera like this,” she said.
Markle has fond memories of her acting days. Reflecting on Suits’ success, she admitted, “I still have the pencil skirt from the first episode! That’s the one thing I kept.” Although she won’t make an appearance on the spinoff Suits LA, she is thrilled for the series, “I love that it gets a new breath of fresh air.”
