Although Meghann Fahy and Leo Woodall‘s characters in The White Lotus Season 2 were never involved, the same can’t be said for the actors.

The two started dating on the set of the hit HBO show. Yet, it wasn’t until after the finale had wrapped up that rumors began to swirl around. Fahy and Woodall remained private about their romance until one day in February 2024 when Fahy hard-launched the relationship on Instagram.

Fahy opened up to The Cut about her romance and divulged, “It was never a secret.” The Bold Type alum continued, “We just are private people, and I think that it’s something worth protecting.”

In the timespan of their relationship, both of their careers have flourished. Fahy’s with projects like The Perfect Couple and now Drop, while Woodall has become a staple in the romance genre with One Day and Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy. They still keep their relationship out of the spotlight, but they are supportive of each other’s work. In 2025, she was in London for the world premiere of Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, which features Woodall prominently.

While discussing how many performers don’t necessarily want to have a partner in the same line of work, Fahy emphasized how grateful she is to be with someone who understands her world. “Some actors say, ‘Oh, I could never date an actor.’ I get that, but it works for me,” she explained. “I don’t think I could ever date someone who wasn’t in the industry in some capacity, whether it be a director or a writer. The experiences that you’re having are so insane and specific. To have a partner who you can make eye contact with across the room and feel seen and have that person be like ‘I know’ to me is the greatest gift.”

Besides Woodall, she also has tons of friends she met through her roles. Fahy actively calls her Bold Type costars, Aisha Dee and Katie Stevens, her real-life best friends.

She has also remained tight to her The White Lotus pals. Her Season 2 costar Will Sharpe raved about her to The Cut. “To play a character that on paper is ‘airhead mum’ and to turn her into this really intriguing, layered human being, was extraordinary,” he said. Sharpe recalled the scene where her character, Daphne, tries to remember if Puerto Rico is a country or a territory: “She just did this thing where, very quietly, she made her brain disappear for a second. That was the point where I was like, ‘You’re really funny.'”
