‘Farmer Wants a Wife’s Mitchell & Sydney Spill Filming Secrets & How They Hid From Cameras
Season 2 Farmer Wants a Wife couple Mitchell Kolinsky and Sydney Errera are giving some insight into what went down behind the scenes while they were filming the show in 2023.
The couple dished about why they sometimes had to sneak away from cameras and shared some surprising details about the first day on set of the Fox reality series.
Kolinsky and Errera explained that producers encouraged them to only kiss when the cameras were rolling, which is why they sometimes snuck off and hid so they could steal some private PDA moments. “I was always kissing Sydney off camera,” Kolinsky told Taste of Country. “I had a little nook in my house, a little turn in the corner. I would always look at her, and she would know what’s up.”
The farmer also confirmed that he met the other three farmers on the show for the first time while cameras were rolling. “I had a beer in my hand and I walk up and I say, ‘What’s up y’all? I’m Mitchell Kolinsky from Nashville, Tennessee. I guess we’re all in this together,'” he recalled.
As for the women, Errera said she and the other contestants had their phones taken and had to share a hotel room with one of the other suitors for “two to three days” before meeting the farmer they would be dating.
“It’s days of being anxious of what’s going to happen,” she admits. “That’s all you’re thinking about, what the first conversation is going to look like.” The ladies also have to rewear the same outfit for several days of filming, as shooting occurs over several days but is supposed to seem like it all happened in one.
Now that Kolinsky and Errera have been together for more than a year, they’re taking the next step in their relationship. They recently revealed that Errera is officially moving to the farm with her partner, although Kolinsky confirmed that he’s making some “improvements” before she makes it permanent.
