‘The Bachelor’s Grant & Juliana Reveal Relationship ‘Timeline’ They Discussed Before Proposal
Grant Ellis and runner-up Litia Garr discussed their future “timeline” quite a bit on Season 29 of The Bachelor, but did he have the same conversations with his final pick, Juliana Pasquarosa?
Swooon caught up with the engaged couple following the March 24 finale and got the scoop about what their “timeline” discussions were on the show.
“We talked about it, but our common conclusion was that we’re going to see how things go,” Ellis explained. “That was our talk about our timeline. Both of us are easygoing, and we didn’t put any expectations on our timeline. I think that’s something that we had a common ground in.”
Ellis also spoke to Pasquarosa’s father about the future when he visited Massachusetts for her hometown date. “Grant wasn’t necessarily looking to come out of this and start immediately planning a wedding,” she confirmed. “And that’s kind of where my mind was at [too].”
The couple “talked about” their timeline “a bunch of times,” including on their overnight date when the cameras weren’t rolling. “We just wanted to make sure we were on the same page so that when we came out of this it wasn’t news to the other person about what the expectation was,” Pasquarosa continued. “We don’t really have an expectation. Of course, I’m engaged, and we’re going to get married, but it’s like, why rush it?”
Of their decision to take some time before walking down the aisle, she added, “We just conquered something so massive and exciting, like, let’s live in that moment. Let’s now try to find some normalcy and see what happens.”
Ellis reiterated that marriage is still “the goal,” but finding a new normal is priority at the moment. For the couple, that means starting a life together in Boston. On After the Final Rose, they revealed their plans for Ellis to move up to Pasquarosa’s neck of the woods.
The pair confirmed to Swooon that conversations about living in Boston also came up during filming. “That was something that we decided, for me to come up and go there,” Ellis said. “I know how important Jules’ family is to her and the support she has. I think that’s going to happen a lot sooner than later.”
