‘Farmer Wants a Wife’ Shocker: One Contestant Abruptly Leaves the Show

Episode 4 of Farmer Wants a Wife featured one of Matt Warren‘s women deciding to end their relationship and leave the show. Rachel Eve, who admittedly had trust issues, broke things off with the hunky farmer during the April 10 episode.
But her decision was not made lightly. After an issue arose with one of the other women, Halleh Day, Rachel heard Matt out before ultimately choosing to exit. So, what went down?
It all started when Matt’s women noticed that Halleh wasn’t in her room when they woke up one morning. Rachel theorized that she was “sneaking off” to spend time with Matt away from the cameras. The group then traveled to Tennessee, where Rachel brought up her concerns to the rest of the group.
Later, during a night out dancing, Matt addressed the concerns of Rachel and some of the other ladies. “Some stuff obviously went down that we’re all aware of, but we can’t continue to move on with this, obviously, until everyone feels good,” Matt said. “Nothing happened. I don’t know what else to tell you guys. I could see why you think that and why it looked like that, but that’s also not the case.”

Matt acknowledged that he really “likes” Halleh but insisted that he wasn’t getting to know her any better than the rest of the group. Meanwhile, Halleh backed up his story and said that she was journaling while watching the sunrise when they couldn’t find her.
Rachel was not convinced. “The story don’t make sense. Never did,” she said. Her emotions were pushed even further when Matt and Halleh shared a dance in front of everyone. “I just don’t think it’s fair,” Rachel said. “I don’t believe Matt. I feel like something happened between Matt and Halleh. Obviously, for a relationship to flourish, you need trust, and right now, I don’t really buy what he’s saying.”
Rachel pulled Matt aside for a private conversation and said she didn’t feel like she could stay on the farm because of her lingering doubts. He stuck to his story. “I understand the way things look and all that, but it’s not the case,” Matt said. “In the past, I’ve had a girlfriend, and when there’s problems, you can talk to one girl. It’s already really hard, and then you add four more onto that and it’s like, I don’t really know how to handle this. I don’t want anyone to feel like there’s things going on that are not.”
In the end, trust issues were the ultimate reason for Rachel’s departure. “I’m gonna leave the farm because I don’t believe him,” she concluded. “I don’t think that the person I’m meant to be with is going to shatter their trust with me so early on.”
