Are they or aren’t they? That’s the question Dancing With the Stars fans have been wondering about when it comes to Alan Bersten and Emma Slater‘s relationship.

Rumors have swirled about the DWTS pros being more than just friends for months, and they seemingly hard-launched their romance during the final stop on the Dancing With the Stars tour.

On April 19, DWTS fan Callie Justine captured Bersten and Slater’s massive PDA during their performance in Rosemont, Illinois. The pros danced together and shared a steamy kiss in the middle of their routine, which caused the crowd to erupt. Justine called Bersten and Slater’s kiss “the greatest hard launch of all time.”

“Not to be dramatic but watching this live made my entire life,” Justine captioned the video. Fellow Dancing With the Stars pro Ezra Sosa commented on the video, “FINALLY,” adding fuel to the idea that this was Bersten and Slater’s way of confirming their relationship.

A day before Bersten and Slater’s kiss, Sosa posted a TikTok video with Gleb Savchenko in which they called themselves the “only single guys on tour.”

Speculation about Bersten and Slater’s relationship has been percolating for a while. In October 2024, Us Weekly reported that the pros were “hooking up” but weren’t in an official relationship.

Slater was previously married to fellow DWTS pro Sasha Farber. They got engaged on DWTS in 2016 and married in 2018. Slater filed for divorce in 2023. Despite their split, the dancers remain friends. Farber has since moved on with his Season 33 partner, The Bachelorette star Jenn Tran. Bersten dated Season 27 partner Alexis Ren during their run on the show and a few months after.

Season 34 of the hit dancing competition series is expected to premiere in the fall. It’s unclear whether or not Bersten and Slater (and Farber) will return as pros.
