Will Kelsey Anderson Join ‘DWTS’? Here’s What Winner Joey Graziadei Had to Say
Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson took the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy home after their stellar dance moves week after week. The duo even made Dancing with the Stars history. Graziadei became the first Bachelor lead to win the competition. Being a favorite of the judges and the fans at home, it’s not hard to see why he was the one to nab that title.
Fans have rallied around Graziadei and Anderson’s romance since the end of Season 28. Could Anderson follow in her fiancé’s footsteps (literally) next season? Graziadei had quite the answer when asked if Kelsey Anderson might head to the dance floor and compete for the Mirrorball in Season 34.
“If she got a chance to do the show, I’d love to see it,” the charismatic former tennis trainer told Swooon. “I do not think she’d do well, and she’d be the first person to admit that,” he said. The 29-year-old Bachelor Nation icon followed his statement with, “I didn’t think I was going to do well, and here we are, so you have to try.”
His pro partner had one request: “Petition to put her with Val [Chmerkovskiy].” Her husband is also a dance pro on the show, and the two couples have become friends. Graziadei was a fan of Johnson’s idea. “Oh, I would love to see that,” he said. “If Kelsey and Val were together, that’d be must-see TV. That would be tough. He’d whip her into shape.” Johnson responded quickly, “He’d whip her into dance shape.”
Although many noticed the ballroom chemistry between Graziadei and Johnson, it was solely friendship connection. Now that Graziadei’s run on DWTS is over, he’s looking forward to a new chapter with Anderson in Los Angeles. “We’re going to try it out [LA] and see what it’s like and hang out with Jenna and Val,” Graziadei noted.
