‘Boys of Tommen’ Cast: A Guide to the Stars Playing Johnny, Shannon, & More
Boys of Tommen has found its cast for keeps! Since announcing Conor Sánchez as Johnny Kavanagh and Nancy Surridge as Shannon Lynch, Prime Video has revealed the actors playing the rest of the Tommen College crew, as well as their family members. Should the show adapt Chloe Walsh’s ongoing book series in full, fans now know the actors playing the leads of future seasons. On July 17, Prime Video announced the actor bringing Feeling 12‘s Patrick Feely to life.
Season 1, though, will adapt both Binding 13 and Keeping 13. Set in an Irish private school, the books chart the romance between Johnny, a star rugby player, and shy new student Shannon. Both are keeping secrets: Johnny is playing through a painful injury, while Shannon is being physically abused at home and was bullied at her old school. The following books focus on other teens in their circle, who also fall in love and have experienced trauma in their lives.
For most of the actors, Boys of Tommen is their biggest project to date, so we did a deep dive into their backgrounds. Ó Síocháin went to the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, graduating in 2026. While at school, he acted in a number of stage productions.)

Conor Sánchez is Johnny Kavanagh
Conor Sánchez will bring Johnny Kavanagh, a driven rugby player set to go pro, to the screen. The actor is best known for starring in the 2025 miniseries Mix Tape alongside Bridgerton‘s Florence Hunt. His first acting role was in a 2024 episode of Ellis, and he appears in three episodes of Murder Most Puzzling.
According to Irish News, Sánchez is from Greysteel, Ireland. He told the outlet that swimming was his main sport growing up, and he didn’t pursue acting seriously until university.
“I can’t say [acting] was ever a grand childhood ambition,” Sánchez said. “I did the school shows, mostly for the craic, but I never thought of acting as a tangible career. However, after a year of realizing biology at Queen’s University Belfast wasn’t exactly my destiny, I auditioned for a professional theatre company at The Playhouse in Derry. To my surprise, they cast me – and even paid me a few quid. That was it: I got the bug from there.”
Nancy Surridge is Shannon Lynch
Nancy Surridge is Shannon Lynch, a new student that’s strong, smart, and severely shy. She’s keeping secrets from everyone at her new school: She was bullied by her classmates at her previous school and is physically abused by her father at home.
Surridge doesn’t have any professional screen credits, so Boys of Tommen will be her breakout role. According to the actress’ Instagram, she’s done some stage work, including starring in a production of Much Ado About Nothing.
James O'Donoghue is Joey Lynch
James O’Donoghue is playing Joey Lynch, Shannon’s older brother who struggles with addiction and is a talented hurler. He and Shannon are extremely close, and he does his best to shield her and his younger siblings from their abusive father.
Per his IMDb bio, O’Donoghue is an Irish-American actor who grew up in the film and theatre scene in Dublin City, Ireland. The Irish drama series Fair City was his first screen gig, and he stage-acted during his childhood. When he was 16 years old, O’Donoghue played a troubled teen in Smother. After getting his degree from University College Dublin, the actor played a role in AMC’s Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale.
Sophie McGibbon is Aoife Molloy
Irish actress Sophie McGibbon is playing the confident and kind Aoife Molly, Joey’s girlfriend. She graduated from London’s Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 2025, where she performed in a number of stage productions. She also landed a role in the upcoming Sense & Sensibility film starring Daisy Edgar-Jones.
John Hewson is Gerard "Gibsie" Gibson
John Hewson, the son of U2 singer Bono, will bring Taming 7 and Healing 7’s Gerard “Gibsie” Gibson, Johnny’s best friend, to life. Before he appears as the class clown with a tragic past in Boys of Tommen, Hewson is set to appear in the supernatural horror Hide and Don’t Speak. He made his acting debut in 2026 with These Sacred Vows and Finnegan’s Foursome.
Amelia May is Claire Biggs
Boys of Tommen is Amelia May’s second professional acting project. She led the BBC thriller series Wild Cherry, which premiered on Paramount+ this June. She plays the free-spirited, optimistic Claire, who becomes the protagonist of Taming 7 and Healing 7. Claire is Shannon’s childhood friend, so she takes her under her wing when she enrolls at Tommen. She’s had a crush on her older brother’s friend, Gibsie, since they were kids.
Alex Dunne is Hugh "Hughie" Biggs
Irish actor Alex Dunne graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2026, and he’s landed his first major role as Boys of Tommen‘s grounded and protective Hughie. He’s Claire’s older brother and part of Johnny and Gibsie’s friend group, becoming the main focus in Walsh’s Releasing 10. Dunne earned his first stage credit in 2024, but he’s been a National Youth Theatre member since 2020.
Indy Lewis is Lizzie Young
British actress Indy Lewis plays Claire and Shannon’s prickly bestie, Lizzie, who grapples with trauma and bipolar disorder. When we meet her, she’s also in a tumultuous relationship with Pierce. She becomes the lead in Releasing 10.
The 25-year-old Lewis is one of the more experienced actors in the cast, known for her roles in HBO’s Industry, AMC’s La Fortuna, and Prime Video’s House of David.
Jamie Schneider is Patrick Feely
Jamie Schneider plays Patrick Feely, a member of Johnny’s friend group at Tommen, an aspiring musician, and the lead of the upcoming Feeling 12. The actor has appeared in two episodes of Malory Towers (which was led by another Prime Video star, Off Campus‘ Ella Bright) and the 2025 rom-com My Mother’s Wedding. Per his Instagram, Schneider is a musician, like his character. He played his first festival gig in 2024.
James Craven is Pierce O’Neill
James Craven plays Pierce O’Neill, Lizzie’s toxic boyfriend. Craven’s latest role was in 2026’s All That Glitters. He’s best known for playing Max in 2024 thriller series Curfew and Ollie in Netflix’s Geek Girl. He also appeared in an episode of House of the Dragon as a candidate of the Night’s Watch.
Dixie Egerickx is Katie Wilmot
Though she’s only 20 years old, Dixie Egerickx has one of the more extensive resumes of the younger cast members of Boys of Tommen, in which she plays the soft-spoken, insecure Katie. She’s the longtime girlfriend of Hughie when we meet her, and she’s set to get her own story in the upcoming Feeling 12.
Egerickx made her feature film debut in The Little Stranger in 2018, going on to appear in films Summerland and The Secret Garden. Her biggest role (prior to Tommen) was in Apple TV’s The Essex Serpent.
Daisy Jacob is Bella Wilkinson
Bella had a fling with Johnny, making her an antagonist in Binding 13 when she gets jealous of Shannon. Bella is dead set on getting back together with the uninterested Johnny, who she only wanted for his status. The character will be played by Daisy Jacob, who is best known for her performance in Dolly Alderton’s Everything I Know About Love.
Jonathan Heed is Cormac Ryan
Twenty-three-year-old Irish actor Jonathan Heed will play Johnny’s teammate, Cormac Ryan, who Bella starts dating. Per his IMDb profile, Heed trained at the Gaiety School of Acting and the National Screen Acting School of Ireland.
Eoin Macken is Teddy Lynch
You might recognize Irish actor Eoin Macken, who will appear as Shannon’s alcoholic, abusive father, from his leading roles in La Brea and Netflix’s Ransom Canyon Season 1. His career started with the series Merlin, in which he played Sir Gwaine.
Róisín Gallagher is Marie Lynch
Róisín Gallagher is playing Shannon’s mother, who lives in fear of her abusive husband. The Belfast-native actress is known for her role in The Lovers, which earned her a BAFTA nomination in 2024. She most recently led the Netflix series How to Get to Heaven from Belfast.
Amy Huberman is Edel Kavanagh
Johnny’s loving, meddling, fashion designer mother is Amy Huberman. The Irish actress and writer’s career began in 2002, and she’s best known for comedy series Finding Joy, which she created and starred in. She also has acting credits in Striking Out, Derry Girls, and Harry Wild.
