’90 Day: The Single Life’ Tell All Recap: Liz Slept With Jamal & 11 More Shockers

On May 18, Part 1 of the Season 5 Tell All of 90 Day: The Single Life premiered, with Ross Mathews making his franchise hosting debut. Ahead of the Tell All, Ross told Swooon that he took it “so seriously,” revealing, “I felt more prepared for this than anything I’ve ever done in my entire life.” During the first half of the explosive Single Life Tell All, it’s clear that Ross was born for this 90 Day Fiancé hosting gig.
During the Tell All, Ross began with burning questions for all of the cast members. He then got straight into individual ‘Where Are They Now’ interviews, grilling the cast about what they’ve been up to since filming ended and asking Gino Palazzolo, Liz Woods, Pedro Jimeno, Kimberly Menzies, Colt Johnson, and more 90 Day stars for the answers fans have been dying to know for seasons.

Pedro's been avoiding Sophie
Right off the bat, Sophie revealed that Pedro would not be in the same room as her after they left the Dominican Republic. According to Sophie, when she arrived in NYC to film Between the Sheets, the producers told her, “You guys can’t be in the same room… We’re respecting Pedro’s wishes. He can’t. He won’t even walk past you.” When they got on stage, they had quite a few things to sort out.
Liz gave a major health update
Prior to Season 5, Liz revealed that she was being treated for ovarian cancer. During the Tell All, she viewers a health update, revealing, “I’m doing good, but there is a new mass in my stomach. So I’ll be moving forward with like a hysterectomy at some point, but it’s not a rush.” Ahead of the Tell All, Liz also revealed a major life update — She’s engaged!
Vanja showed off her (empty) ring finger
After Liz chatted about her engagement, Ross asked Vanja whether she and Tony were engaged. While Vanja hopes for a proposal soon, she showed off both of her hands, telling the cast, “Sparkly on the right hand. Left hand still naked.”
Pedro introduced his new girlfriend, Valentina
Pedro was thrilled to introduce the cast to his new girlfriend, Valentina. While Pedro was in Colombia, Valentina slid into his DMs, and they have been talking nonstop ever since. That said, Pedro’s sister Nicole claimed, “I don’t know if she’s a kind of the escort, [to be] honest.” Seeing as Valentina is psychologist, not an escort, it seems like his family could get in the way of this relationship as well.
Kim apologized for catfishing as Jamal
Of course, we already knew that Kim catfished her son Larry, who she put up for adoption as a baby, pretending to be her other son Jamal. While the two had already made amends, they shared an incredibly emotional moment on stage, proving that they are in a better place today.
Colt and Jamal got into a massive fight
Apparently, Jamal is not a fan of Colt. The two got into an argument about their morals? Their upbringings? How they treat women? It was honestly pretty unclear. That said, when Colt told Jamal, “Guess what? I have a job, too, idiot. I’m software developer,” it felt like a line straight out of Napoleon Dynamite.
Liz looked back at her split from Jayson
Last we saw Liz, she was dating Jayson Zuniga on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Season 8. She explained, “I found out he had a girlfriend for a whole year while you were together… I found out I was pregnant. I miscarried. He didn’t step up.” According to Liz, she went to a free clinic and it was there where they first identified that she had cancer.
Tony doesn't allow Vanja to dance
While things seemed fine between Vanja and Tony, Ross dug deeper to reveal that Tony doesn’t allow Vanja to do any kind of Latin dance, not just “sensual bachata.” When asked if she was giving up part of herself for their relationship, she responded, “I still get to do belly dancing, so at least I have that.” Ross rightly pointed out that being “allowed” to do something is still an issue.
Villa said he loved Liz
Things ended between Villa and Liz in the Dominican Republic, before Alec proposed. Liz found out for the first time on stage that Villa had confessed to viewers that he loved her. She explained, “If I would have known that in the DR it could have changed things.”
Liz introduced her new fiancé
Alec made his 90 Day Fiancé debut! On stage, the two revealed that they were not officially dating before Alec proposed. Looks like we could be seeing more of Alec and Liz in the future!
Liz admitted to sleeping with Jamal
Cortney and Pedro were caught whispering about Liz and Jamal. Soon after, Liz admitted to Kim (one of her best friends) that she had slept with her son. She admitted, “A long long time ago but nothing since then I swear.” Yikes!
Kim stormed out
After the big Liz and Jamal reveal, Kim said, and we quote, “Girl, bye,” before leaving the stage. Honestly, we would have done the same.
