‘Married at First Sight’ Season 20: Are All the Couples Still Together?
A little over the midway point, Married at First Sight Season 20 has offered plenty of highs and lows. Some newlyweds, like Cameron and Michelle, have hardly hit any bumps in the road as they settled into their lives at home together. However, the majority have wondered whether they were truly compatible with their partner at least once.
The MAFS experiment has a varying success rate over the past 20 seasons. When Decision Day arrives after the participants spend weeks living with their partner, quite a few choose to split. Some stay together and even go on to start families. Others might stay married on Decision Day but divorce once the cameras stop rolling. A number of couples have dropped that bombshell during the reunion, which is filmed about a year after their weddings.
But what do we know about the status of the Season 20 couples right now? Swooon has recapped every major moment during the season and all the social media activity and rumors surrounding each cast member. Let us know your predictions for the season in the comments!

Felipe Cruz & Tori Dahl
Felipe, a 29-year-old restaurant manager, and Tori, a 32-year-old senior marketing manager, were matched by the experts. They predicted Felipe and Tori’s dynamic would be like that of a lead singer and a guitarist, with Tori allowing him to take the spotlight — and that’s why it would work.
During his introduction, Felipe revealed that he has a partying lifestyle, but he was ready to settle down. He’s also extremely close with his family, and he wanted to share that with someone. Tori also noted that she’s family-oriented. She’s especially close with her little sister, who she helped take care of growing up while they struggled financially.
Tori was worried that her husband-to-be might run at the altar, but Felipe was wowed when he saw his bride. “Just looking at you, I want to share all of it,” he said, referring to his life with his friends and family, during his vows. Tori promised to be all in and support Felipe in their marriage.
Felipe and Tori had a drama-free honeymoon, during which they talked about living together and their future goals. Felipe told Tori he could see himself falling for her, and she said she was thankful to the matchmakers for bringing him to her. When they got back to Seattle, Tori and Felipe had sex for the first time, but Tori said she went into “flight” mode and went to sleep on the couch alone afterward.
Tori admitted to feeling like they rushed too fast on the physical front, though their marriage was still going well. Felipe also expressed concern about the passion running out in their marriage. In the group therapy session, he confessed to leaving relationships when they simmered down, which concerned Tori. Regardless, they both answered “yes” when asked if they would stay married.
In the next batch of episodes, Tori first said she could see herself falling for Felipe, and they hadn’t yet argued. Issues arose later: Tori expressed her worry over Felipe’s history of cheating and leaving his partner when he got bored. At a cast dinner, Felipe said he found himself thinking of reasons that he and Tori shouldn’t be married. He said he missed sleeping with a lot of women, and he was happy sleeping around before getting married. He also felt like he was in a race to fall in love with Tori before Decision Day. In a confessional later in the episode, Tori wondered why Felipe would even do the MAFS process if he didn’t like monogamy.
Looking at their Instagrams, Felipe currently follows Tori, but she doesn’t follow him back. “Easily the bravest (craziest?) thing I’ve ever done. Come watch me get MARRIED AT FIRST SIGHT… I promise it will be a BANGER,” Felipe wrote in a June 16 Instagram post.
Courteney Landis & Nick Uhlenhuth
The matchmakers thought 28-year-old Courteney and 31-year-old Nick aligned in their values and traits they found attractive in partners. Courteney does bodybuilding and wanted someone athletic; Nick played lacrosse in high school and at MIT. They both didn’t want an uber-religious partner. They also discussed that they were more conservative-leaning politically, though they’re liberal on certain issues. Courteney also told the experts that she’s been cheated on, and she struggled to think she deserved love. They decided Nick and Courteney were a good match because her unfilteredness would help his filteredness.
They hit it off at their wedding and during their conversation after they said “I do.” Nick said, “She’s beautiful. She’s super funny. I feel like she handled [the wedding] really well.” Both noted their attraction to one another.
During the reception, Courteney did bring up some concerns about why Nick wanted to go on a reality TV show again, considering he’s been on The Circle and Perfect Match. “I can’t help but think, what is the endgame?” she wondered.
During their honeymoon, Courteney shared in confessionals that there was something missing in their conversations: a sense of playfulness and fun. Nick brought up his concerns over the lack of physical affection from her and that he was being cautious. They talked it out and expressed their needs during a boat ride, and Courteney thought it was a “breakthrough” for them. They brought up the physical aspect again during their expert session, during which they agreed that they were still compatible as a couple.
In the next batch of episodes, Nick and Courteney continued to work through the physical touch and affection aspects of their relationship. Courteney opened up to Nick about the sexual element of her past relationships not being great. At the group dinner, Nick said he saw potential in them and that they were moving in right direction, but Courtney explained that she didn’t know if Nick was comfortable or confident with himself. Nick later said he was confused about how Courteney really felt about him.
As they drove to meet Courtney’s family, Courteney revealed that when she has kids, she wants to move to Oregon, where her family is based. Nick wanted to stay in Seattle and wondered if that was a dealbreaker. Courteney’s sister later asked if Courteney was looking for red flags in Nick that weren’t there. At Episode 9’s group therapy session, Courteney admitted that she didn’t know if she could accept someone being into her yet. Then, when the experts asked Nick to be vulnerable about his own fears, he struggled. The experts claimed Nick was too polished, which Courteney agreed with. She didn’t feel like she knew him yet. They both were undecided when asked if they would choose to stay married.
The same issues continued in the next drop of episodes. Courteney doubled down on eventually moving to Oregon. During the group dinner, she said things with Nick still felt surface level and that her vulnerability wasn’t being reciprocated. Courteney claimed that she was making a lot of changes for Nick, but he wasn’t making any. Nick argued that he was making an effort to go deeper with Courteney.
Social media-wise, Nick and Courteney are currently following each other on Instagram. Plus, they’ve both posted about each other and the show since it premiered earlier in July and commented on each other’s posts.
Caitlin Grimm & Devin Short
Devin, a 27 year-old professional rugby player, and Caitlin, a 28-year-old who works in social media marketing and as a spin instructor, got married in the second batch of episodes. They were both clear about wanting a family. Caitlin described being in toxic relationships before, so the experts thought Devin, a “gentle giant with a history of being hurt,” would provide Caitlin with emotional safety. They thought they could heal together and move forward.
After saying “I do” — both were attracted to each other and got along during their wedding reception — Caitlin and Devin went to Mexico on their honeymoon. Some problems arose throughout: Caitlin likes her independence and describes herself as a “black cat.” Devin, who’s more of a “golden retriever,” was expecting more emotional and physical affection from his wife. They view relationships differently and struggled to overcome that, bringing the topic up in their expert couples’ therapy session in Episode 6. Caitlin said in a confessional that her connection with Devin didn’t feel easy, and it felt like the type of relationship she “hates.” During a meeting with expert Dr. Lisa Paz, they agreed to try to work through it.
At the following episode’s group dinner, Devin said they’d had a breakthrough and he realized he was being too “aggressive” with his approach. Earlier, Caitlin said her walls were coming down. Then, at Episode 9’s group therapy, Devin said he’d taken a step back from “love-bombing. The experts challenged that Devin was dimming himself for his wife. Caitlin, in turn, said that she wants calm everywhere in her life. She didn’t want to dim Devin, but she did want calmness still. They both said that, if that day had been Decision Day, they were undecided.
The conflicts continued in Episodes 9 through 12. Devin planned a date for Caitlin that made her happy, and she later said in a confessional that they were in a rough patch but were working through it. She was starting to feel more comfortable, she explained. At Episode 12’s group dinner, Caitlin was shocked when Devin was negative about their relationship. He told the group he didn’t feel like he was connected or even friends with Caitlin, questioning if she even liked him. Caitlin affirmed that she did like him and thought things had been better between them. Later in a confessional, Devin said, “If this is how it is, it’s not my ideal marriage… From tonight, me and her should be the ones to break up.” But he conceded that Shawn and Nikki turned things around in their relationship, so maybe he and Caitlin could do the same.
Looking at social media, Caitlin and Devin don’t currently follow each other on Instagram. Caitlin shared that she’d moved to Montana in January 2026, while Devin seems to still be based in Seattle.
BelleJolie Force & Mecca Amen
BelléJolie, a 28-year-old singer-songwriter, and 28-year old Mecca, who works for his family-owned Porta-Potty business, were the third couple matched by the experts. BelleJolie, who also works as a freelance makeup artist and dance teacher, was looking for someone with an ambitious mindset like hers. Mecca, who doubles as a model, had “broken” relationships with the mother figures in his life. BelleJolie doesn’t have a relationship with her father. They both spoke about wanting to give their potential kids a different experience.
The experts said they both were at a similar stage in life discovering who they are and shared a vision for what life should look like. BelleJolie and Mecca both said “I do” on their wedding day in Episode 1, with BelleJolie asking for a kiss on the cheek to save their first kiss for later.
During their honeymoon, both BelléJolie and Mecca noted that they were clicking quickly and felt comfortable around each other. There was one notable conflict, though, when Mecca said, “I feel like you’re more attracted to me than I am to you. He thought she was 150% attracted to him, but he was only 80% attracted to her. In a confessional, BelléJolie explained that she thought something was wrong with that. Back in Seattle, BelléJolie said she enjoyed living with Mecca, and they opened up about their family histories.
The attraction issue aside, BelléJolie and Mecca didn’t face much conflict over the next batch of episodes. Mecca even took BelléJolie along with him to work, which she said was attractive. When asked in a confessional if he had “serious feelings” for BelléJolie, Mecca hesitated, explaining that it was scary because “serious feelings” felt too close to love. Regardless, he assured that strong feelings were there.
During the group therapy session, Paul said it seemed like Mecca had never chosen BelléJolie, while she had chosen him repeatedly. Mecca explained that he struggled to feel deserving of love. He and BelléJolie remained undecided about what they would do on Decision Day.
In the next batch of episodes, Mecca and BelléJolie said they had their first disagreement over going out too late, and Mecca worried about BelléJolie not telling him when she wanted to call it a night. Later, when they went to Belléjolie’s recording studio together, they smoothed it over. Belléjolie said she doesn’t want Mecca to assume he’s always doing something wrong, and she wondered whether this stemmed from his past with his mother. In a confessional, Mecca explained that he felt understood by his wife. After another expert therapy session and group dinner, Mecca said he was no longer undecided about their marriage. He wanted to say “yes” on Decision Day.
Are Mecca and BelleJolie still married today? We won’t know for sure until later in the season. However, on Instagram, Mecca currently follows BelleJolie, though she doesn’t follow him back. “Will I find my Prince Charming? Find out this season!” she wrote in a July 9 Instagram post.
Nikki Jefferson & Shawn Best
Shawn, a 47-year-old educator with a doctorate degree, and Nikki, a successful, 46-year-old HR leader for a big tech company, were paired up. They both said they wanted a family, and Shawn wanted a boss-lady type, and Nikki fell into that category. She described wanting a partner who was close in salary so there were no competing egos. The experts did wonder if she would be attracted to Shawn — he was instantly attracted to her — but he checked every other box of hers.
There was some drama on their wedding day, with Nikki seemingly not realizing Shawn was her husband-to-be when she saw him at the altar. After saying “I do,” Shawn noted his attraction to his wife, while Nikki said the physical attraction wasn’t there yet.
In Episodes 4 through 6, which saw them go on their honeymoon and begin living together, Shawn and Nikki opened up to each other about their pasts and relationship goals, but Nikki noted that “every other day there [was] a conflict” between them. They struggled to get on the same page about showing physical affection. Shawn wanted her to initiate touch and kisses, but Nikki told him for the first time that she needed more time to feel attracted to him. They had another argument at the airport on the way back to Seattle, during which Nikki claimed Shawn called her “crazy” and Nikki walked away. She asked Shawn to sleep on the couch during their first night in their shared apartment.
The conflicts didn’t stop there. During the group dinner, which Shawn showed up to late and solo, Nikki told her castmates that she and her husband were repeatedly getting into arguments and nothing was changing. The situation continued to escalate once Shawn arrived, even getting to the point where Shawn said Nikki should quit the experiment if she wasn’t happy. A meeting with expert Paul gave them some new communication tools, and in the following episode’s group therapy session, Nikki and Shawn credited Paul for improving their relationship. Nikki noticed a shift in their communication and said that her physical attraction to Shawn could grow over time. At the end, they both remained undecided about what they’d do on Decision Day.
That line of thinking continued into Episodes 9 through 12. Nikki said they were having messy conversations, but deepening their connection. Conflict was now bringing them closer. The physical attraction and intimacy piece still had yet to fall into place on her side. In Episode 10, Nikki said the attraction was growing, but Shawn’s comment that intimacy was a “wifely duty” made her uncomfortable. He claimed he wouldn’t say that and didn’t actually feel that way. They moved on, and in Episode 12, Shawn said Nikki was showing up as the wife he needed. They agreed that they could see themselves living in Nikki’s house.

Michelle Le & Cameron Mitchell
Michelle, a 34-year-old program manager, began her introduction by discussing how she froze her eggs due to fibroids. She’s always wanted to have a family, like her new husband, Cameron. The 37-year-old community college basketball coach, who used to play at the professional level overseas, mentioned in his intro that he’d never been in a long-term relationship, though he was ready for marriage. They both said “I do” when they met for the first time.
After their wedding and reception went without drama, Cameron and Michelle headed to Mexico on their honeymoon in Episode 5. They had some big discussions while they were there: Cameron lives in Portland for his job and asked if Michelle would be willing to move out of Seattle. (We didn’t see a resolution.) They also talked about their plans for having kids: Michelle would have to have surgery beforehand, so they’d have to plan ahead. They didn’t land on a timeline at that point.
While both Michelle and Cameron agreed that they felt closer after their trip, Cam noted that the adjustment to married life was hard and that the commitment was scary to him. Michelle questioned why Cameron would do MAFS if he was scared of commitment, but no big argument arose before they started living together in Episode 6.
Michelle and Cameron continued to grow closer and proved to be the most stable couple of the season so far. There was a slight conflict when finances came up: Michelle wanted her partner to make at least $150,000 each year, but Cameron didn’t make that. Later, at home, she told Cameron that it didn’t matter to her anymore, which she doubled down on during the group therapy session. They also didn’t come to a resolution about where they would live: Cameron coaches in Portland while Michelle’s job is in Seattle.
Regardless, they said they would have chosen to stay married if the group therapy day was instead Decision Day, and viewers saw them grow even closer in Episodes 9 through 12. They’d had plenty of serious conversations, Michelle said, but no arguments. Cameron was thinking about moving with Michelle when his lease was up because his dream wasn’t just career-based anymore. When they visited Cameron’s apartment in Portland, he told his wife, “I mean what I said: I found my person.”
Marissa Meyer & Adam Dehmlow
During Episode 1, 31-year-old data analyst Adam said that he was set with his career and his friends — and marriage was the “missing piece.” The disciplined, self-described adrenaline junkie was looking for someone to share his active lifestyle with. The experts matched him with Marissa, a 30-year-old program manager, who loves going to the gym, skiing, and reading. The experts described Marissa as the “total package” and “flawed and honest about it.” Paul C. Brunson said, “That willingness could open Adam up, and that’s exactly what we want because we want his heart and she has the keys.”
In the lead up to their wedding, Adam gave Marissa some activity-oriented gifts, including a pickleball, while Marissa gave him an empty book they could fill with their story (and a mini shot of Fireball, not knowing Adam didn’t drink). Adam hoped she had an active lifestyle, since there wasn’t a mention of it in Marissa’s note. “I have trained multiple people to be phenomenal athletes in my life,” he said when asked how he’d feel if she wasn’t athletic.
Adam and Marissa recognized each other at the altar. It turns out that Adam approached Marissa at a bar once, but it never went further. It didn’t stop them from getting married, and during their honeymoon, they started acting physically affectionate with each other. Viewers didn’t see them navigate any hurdles or serious conversations. When they returned to Seattle, Adam gave Marissa a tour of his lakefront cabin.
In the next batch of episodes, Adam and Marissa continued to avoid getting into the nitty gritty about their relationship. Adam wore a wild outfit to the group dinner, leading some to wonder if he was taking the experiment seriously. During the expert group session, Paul called out Adam for being a deflector, while Adam countered that he was just being his goofy himself. Marissa admitted that they hadn’t gotten deep yet, adding in a confessional that she wished Adam had Cameron’s maturity.
Pickleball started the next batch of issues, giving Adam and Marissa their first “hard day.” Living with Adam, who does sporty, active things for a good portion of the day, was throwing the more low-key Marissa’s routine out of whack. Adam wanted a wife that matched his energy and had the same hobbies. Marissa said they hadn’t even gone on a dinner date, spending all their time doing Adam’s activities and not hers. When they met with an expert, Marissa said she wouldn’t be able to match Adam’s dedication to physical activities, which was making her feel anxiety. Adam admitted they had to compromise, but didn’t know if he’d be happy with that. He didn’t want to change Marissa, but wanted to see if they could move forward.
Whether they’re still married isn’t known. Looking at their Instagrams, Adam and Marissa don’t currently follow each other, but it’s always possible that they’re trying to avoid spoiling viewers.
