‘Home Town: Inn This Together’: Who Is Josh Nowell Married To? All About His Love Life
On Ben Napier and Erin Napier‘s new show Home Town: Inn This Together, they’re joined by friends Jim Rasberry, Mallorie Rasberry, and Josh Nowell. The group is working together to renovate a building in Laurel, Mississippi, to a “hotel, food venue, and storefront.”
The Napiers’ longtime friends have popped up on Home Town before, but they have a more prominent role in this series. And while Josh’s wife is not a primary cast member, she is still heavily involved with her husband’s business affairs.

Who is Josh Nowell’s wife?
Josh’s wife is Emily Nowell. Along with Erin, Ben, Jim, and Mallorie, the couple helps run Laurel Mercantile Co., a home goods store in Laurel, Mississippi.
The longtime friends used their “combined expertise in history, design, historic preservation, organizational management, finance, and accounting to reopen Laurel’s bygone hometown store” in 2016. They expanded their business in 2018 with the Scotsman General Store & Ben’s Woodshop, followed by Scotsman Manufacturing Co. in 2021, and The Scent Library in 2022.
Josh and Emily previously founded Petrolia Land Co., an oil and land gas service broker. During the early years of their marriage, they traveled a lot for this job to meet with landowners, but eventually settled down in Laurel when they decided to start a family. Once they put down roots in Laurel, they began investing in historic real estate in the area.
How did Josh Nowell meet his wife?
Josh and Emily met on a blind date after graduating from The University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) and The University of Southern Mississippi, respectively.
The two tied the knot in 2010, and their wedding was attended by the Napiers. As Erin recalled in a blog post, “There was a fiddle and guitar during the ceremony playing traditional Irish tunes, Spanish moss hanging from the huge live oak trees, an immaculate pink 1957 Packard that drove Emily around to the aisle, tons of appley, caramelly goodness at the reception, and the most twitterpated lovey couple you can imagine.”
Josh and Ben were roommates at Ole Miss, which is how Josh and Emily are connected to the Napiers.
How many kids do Josh and Emily Nowell have?
Josh and Emily are parents to four children. Their first child, son Samuel, was born in November 2014. “Introducing our new family member, Mr. Samuel Lockhart Nowell! Arrived at 5:12 weighing 8 lbs 4 oz,” Josh wrote on Instagram. “His mom did so good! Thanks everyone for the prayers and text and calls!”

Next came son Teddy in March 2016. “It’s a boy!” Josh gushed. “Introducing the right foot of Mr. Theodore Isaiah Nowell- 8lbs of hungry handsomeness! (21.75 Inches – 2:33 PM).”
In January 2018, Emily and Josh welcomed “the fifth Nowell,” daughter Irene. “I sure hope someone teaches me to braid,” Josh joked. “All thanks and glory to God for a healthy baby and a healthy wife! May Irene delight in the wonders of God’s grace through Christ even from birth. Amen!”
The family added daughter Eleanor Charlotte in October 2020.”More pigtails coming soon to the Nowell house,” Josh wrote. “Eleanor Charlotte Nowell – 8lbs Healthy and Sleepy.”
