Meet ‘Home Town: Inn This Together’ Couple Jim & Mallorie Rasberry
Ben Napier and Erin Napier are back with another Home Town spinoff on HGTV. For Home Town: Inn This Together, they’re teaming up with friends Jim Rasberry, Mallorie Rasberry, and Josh Nowell to renovate a Laurel, Mississippi, building into a “hotel, food venue and storefront.”
Although a fire in the hotel threatened to derail renovation plans in August 2025, the group was eventually able to get back to work, and fans will get to see their labor of love on the new series.
Fans of Home Town will recognize Ben and Erin’s friends, but this spinoff will let fans into their lives even more. Ahead of the May 10 premiere, scroll down to learn more about Jim and Mallorie.
Who are Jim and Mallorie Rasberry?
Mallorie is a CPA while Jim is a financial advisor with his own firm, Rasberry Financial. However, the two are also passionate about renovation and have been at the forefront of revitalizing the town of Laurel, Mississippi, with Ben and Erin.
Along with Ben and Erin, as well as Josh and his wife, Mallorie and Jim run Laurel Mercantile Co., a home goods store in their Mississippi town. They opened a second retail location in 2018, along with Scotsman General, a general store and woodshop. The group also launched Scotsman Manufacturing Co. in 2021, and The Scent Library in 2022.
Jim and Mallorie are also running the hotel being renovated on Inn This Together, The Heirloom Hotel. The establishment is not open yet.
How do Jim and Mallorie Rasberry know the Napiers?
The Rasberrys and Napiers are first connected through Erin and Jim, who are cousins. “Their dads are brothers,” Mallorie explained to HGTV. “Josh and Erin went to high school together.”

Erin and Ben met at Jones County Junior College and then they both transferred to the University of Mississippi. There, Erin and Mallorie were roommates and became friends. Meanwhile, Ben and Josh were also roommates at Ole Miss. It wasn’t until later the end of the group’s time at the university that Jim and Mallorie were introduced (more on that below).
When Erin transferred to Ole Miss, Mallorie was one of her “first friends,” she said. “The first thing that we did together as friends was spend the day antique shopping in Oxford,” Erin revealed. “She showed me all the great spots, and that’s kind of been our relationship ever since. We immediately started sharing our closets and our clothes, then decided that we would get an apartment together, and she became like a sister to me.”
How did Jim and Mallorie Rasberry meet?
For Erin’s senior thesis, she did an art show, and Jim attended to support her. Mallorie was also there to support her friend, and she met Josh for the first time.
“We were engaged a year later and married a year after that,” Mallorie shared, and Erin added, “The night Jim met Mallorie, he decided to stay another night and then another night, because he was smitten. Jim was always family, and Mallorie was like a sister. So when he and Mallorie started dating, they were kind of like siblings to me.”
Do Jim and Mallorie Rasberry have kids?
Yes, Jim and Mallorie are parents to two children. Their first daughter, Lucy, was born in 2013, followed by Charlotte “Lottie” in March 2020.
