The Broadway alum plays Ella, a Newport socialite in 1905 who seeks to use her wealth to start a foundation to help others in town. When she discovers that her father plans to marry her off to a man she’s never met at the upcoming Christmas Eve ball, Ella goes for a nighttime sail in her schooner and wishes for a different life when she sees a comet in the sky. Suddenly, she finds Nick (Wes Brown), a sailor and Newport historian, aboard her schooner, and realizes she’s now in the 21st century.

Ginna Claire Mason is married to Eric Moffett. They met in 2010 when the singer and actress, then a college student, landed an acting job in Findlay, Ohio. One of her college friends from Elon University, Becca Moffett, lived nearby in Toledo.

Mason began spending time with the Moffett family, and that’s how she met her now-husband. They officially started dating on August 15, 2010. Their relationship started out long-distance, with Mason attending school in North Carolina and Moffett in Colorado. “We just had to make it work,” Mason told Elon News Network. “We talked and Skyped whenever we could.”
The couple got engaged in 2012 and married on June 28, 2023, in Brentwood, Tennessee.
“He had never seen a musical before he met me, but he has seen a lot of musicals now, mostly the ones I’ve been in,” Mason told Williamson Scene.

Eric Moffett is a pilot. When he met his wife, Moffett was studying aviation science at Metro State University. He proposed to Mason just after he passed his aviation science examinations in 2012.
He worked as an air traffic controller for six years before going to pilot school. He attended American Flyers flight school. He told the school that his dad was a pilot for Delta, so he was interested in aviation at a young age.
