Joanna Gaines Shares How Chip & Their Kids Have Supported Her Amid ‘Mini Reni’ Journey
Joanna Gaines is branching out on her own on her new show Mini Reni. While she made her television debut on Fixer Upper alongside husband Chip Gaines, this new series, airing on Magnolia Network and Max, is a solo endeavor.
But even though this is Joanna’s project, will we be seeing Chip on Mini Reni at all?
“Chip…he’s never too far away. You’ll see him pop in on the show, always making me laugh, keeping things light, and reminding us all of the joy in the process,” Joanna promised Swooon. “He’s been my biggest cheerleader from day one, and our kids’ too. I really believe we’re where we are today because we’ve always encouraged each other to take on new challenges, ones that help us grow both as a family and with our work.”
The Gaines’ have been married since May 31, 2003, and share five children. While Joanna could not be more grateful for their support, she’s also ready to take on these “mini renovation” projects on her own.
“Helping people make their spaces feel special and personal has always been at the heart of what I love, long before Fixer Upper, back when it was just the Little Shop on Bosque,” she explained. “And with Mini Reni, I saw the opportunity to show people that having a home you love and one that tells your story doesn’t have to be a matter of renovating every room, and that sometimes it’s these smaller spaces that have the biggest impact. And I’ve loved the process of each of these mini renovations—I’ve been able to stretch my creativity and really embrace those small details that bring a space to life.”
There will be nine episodes of Mini Reni. Each installment will follow Joanna “as she trades her signature large-scale renovations for nine bite-sized projects with quick timelines. In each episode, she makes intentional and creative additions to transform smaller spaces with big impact. From demo to design and everything in between, Mini Reni will give viewers a front row seat to Joanna’s entire renovation process.”
