Is Bill Belichick Engaged to Jordon Hudson? What We Know
Engagement rumors are swirling around Bill Belichick and his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. Reports that the two are preparing to head down the aisle first surfaced on Tuesday, May 20.
The buzz, which has taken the internet by storm due to Belichick and Hudson’s nearly 50-year age difference, stemmed from an article in The New York Times.
A NYT journalist claims Hudson has “told at least one person that she and Mr. Belichick are engaged to be married.” However, the football coach and pageant queen have not yet confirmed the rumors themselves. The reporter visited four different cities to learn more about Hudson for the piece.
Hudson and Belichick went public with their relationship in 2024, more than three years after they first met on a flight while she was a college student. She reportedly asked Belichick to sign her textbook, but details about how their relationship blossomed from there are unclear.
News of their rumored engagement comes after the couple’s controversial moment during Belichick’s interview on CBS Sunday Mornings in April. When the interviewer asked Belichick how he met his now-girlfriend, Hudson jumped in and insisted, “We’re not talking about this.”
The clip went viral, with the UNC coach getting roasted and Hudson receiving backlash for her interjection. The former New England Patriots coach defended his girlfriend afterward. He said that Hudson “stepped in” to “refocus” the interview after it went off-topic “several times.” He also pointed out that he and Hudson have a “professional relationship,” in addition to their “personal” one, which is why she was moderating the interview.
“She was not deflecting any specific question or topic but simply doing her job to ensure the interview stayed on track,” he said. “Some of the clips make it appear as though we were avoiding the question of how we met, but we have been open about the fact that Jordon and I met on a flight to Palm Beach in 2021.”
