‘Sullivan’s Crossing’ Sneak Peek: Cal Comforts Maggie After Her Heartbreaking Loss (VIDEO)
In the wake of tragedy, Cal (Chad Michael Murray) is showing up for Maggie (Morgan Kohan). Swooon has an exclusive sneak peek of the May 21 episode of Sullivan’s Crossing that picks up as Maggie copes with her miscarriage.
Cal stops by Maggie and Sully’s (Scott Patterson) place to check on her. He finds her sitting serenely outside, taking in the calmness of nature around her. He sweetly steals a look at her before interrupting her quiet moment.
“Somebody looks happy,” Cal says. Maggie’s surprised to see him because she thought he was training to become a volunteer for the Search and Rescue group today. That’s still on his schedule, but he wanted to “come by here first and see how you were doing.”
Maggie tells him that “planting that tree really helped” her in the grieving process. Cal and Maggie share a sweet kiss before Maggie proposes a date night idea. “I was thinking, maybe we can head into Halifax tonight. Catch a movie?” she asks. Cal’s fully onboard with whatever Maggie wants.
Suddenly, Sully begins shouting for her from inside the house. Cal wonders if Sully’s okay, and Maggie stresses that her father is just fine. “He’s just cranky about some of the changes I’ve made around the house,” Maggie admits.
In the May 21 episode, Maggie and Cal’s relationship starts to heat up, while Sully realizes he has some things in common with newcomer Helen (Kate Vernon).
As Season 3 continues, Sullivan’s Crossing will dive deeper into Cal’s family history. “The opportunity to investigate the relationship with my dad, my mom, my siblings, to see where he grew up,” Murray told Yahoo Canada. “There’s a lot of things that come down the pipe that you always wonder about as an actor, and then you finally get to pull the curtain back, and you get to see it, and you wonder if it’s the same way you imagined it would be.”
