Greg Vaughan Talks Finding Romance With Shanna Moakler, 30 Years After They First Met
Days of Our Lives star Greg Vaughan is embracing a new chapter and a new love. One aspect of his life that’s come full circle is his budding romance with Shanna Moakler.
Vaughan and Moakler actually first met in 1993 when she was 18 years old and he was 20. A few years later, they starred in the 1997 film Poison Ivy: The New Seduction. Three decades after they first crossed paths, Vaughan and Moakler reconnected. Vaughan opened up to TV Insider and shared new details about his relationship with Moakler.
“It was under wraps for a long time, which was good, and the way I like it,” the actor said. “When you’ve been under the microscope and you’ve been in that world of being online visible, it becomes a little bit disruptive. But she and I have a lot of warmth, love, and appreciation, and that has developed over the last year.”
The couple confirmed their romance in March 2025 and have given a few glimpses into their blossoming relationship. Vaughan couldn’t help but rave over his girlfriend and what she’s accomplished.
“She is an incredible mom. She is a delightful, intelligent woman,” he said. “She is a wonderfully talented, gifted entrepreneur, actress, director, and producer. She has written six books.”
The Days of Our Lives veteran, who is returning to the soap on May 30, loves the support he receives from Moakler. “We are both in each other’s corners,” he noted. “I admire her in so many ways. I lift her up as she does to me, which has been a missing piece of my life. She’s been an angel and a complement to me in so many ways. She’s just a beautiful person with a heart of gold.”
Moakler was previously married to Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. They have two kids, Alabama and Landon. The former Miss USA also has a daughter, Atiana, with ex Oscar De La Hoya. Vaughan was married to Touriya Haoud for a decade, and they share three sons together.
