‘Chicago Med’: Who’s the Father of Hannah’s Baby? (POLL)

Chicago Med threw fans for a loop in the final episodes of Season 10. Just as Hannah (Jessy Schram) was planning to be a surrogate for her sister Lizzy (Erin Anderson), she found out she couldn’t in the penultimate episode. The reason was simple: She’s already pregnant!

Her sister was the first person she told, and Lizzy immediately asked if Ripley (Luke Mitchell), Hannah’s ex-boyfriend, knew. Hannah didn’t really address it, with their conversation quickly turning to the fact that this meant she couldn’t be her sister’s surrogate. At work, Hannah did try to talk to Ripley, only for him to wonder, related to a patient, if the pain of being a parent is worth it. The finale ended with Hannah going to see Archer (Steven Weber) and telling him they need to talk. While there has been a question of something happening between the two doctors, nothing has yet … that we know of? The door certainly seemed to be open to Archer possibly being the father.

Wolf Entertainment then shared a deleted scene from the finale after it aired that also hinted at the possibility. Lenox (Sarah Ramos) picked up on Hannah’s pregnancy and when she asked about Ripley, Hannah said, “It’s complicated.”

Showrunner Allen MacDonald isn’t giving anything away, either.

“I will say that I think Hannah needs to process this in one way or another. Archer is someone who she feels very safe speaking with. I think when Hannah feels destabilized that Archer is a stabilizing force for her and vice versa,” he told TV Insider after the finale in May.

As for a future for Hannah and Ripley again, with her going to Archer and him having the woman whose life he saved down in a well showing up at his place, “I never say for sure if doors are going to be opened or closed, but I definitely think that this is a possible conundrum for Hannah because that relationship is over and it ended very, very naturally,” MacDonald explained.
