Are ‘Deadliest Catch’s Jake & Jenna Anderson Still Together? Their Relationship Today
Jake Anderson has been a staple on Deadliest Catch since 2007, and he’s back on the 22nd season with a major update in his personal life. As fans of the show know, Jake married Jenna Anderson in May 2012. The two reportedly met at a festival in Seattle and were together for about three years when they tied the knot.
“I was doing shipyard duty, and they had a festival going… All these people were coming up to get autographs,” Jake recalled. “I had just walked out, and Jenna came up. Her family had jumped off the boat to come and get autographs from us. I autographed [to her], ‘You’re beautiful.'”
After some persuasion from her nieces, Jenna returned and gave Jake her number. “I was trying to stay out of trouble, so I was living on the boat,” he remembered. “I wasn’t going out and spending money; I was trying to save my money. She started calling me, and I started calling her, for a few weeks. We fell in love.”

Are Jake and Jenna Anderson still together?
No, Jake and Jenna are no longer together. “After 17 years being together, 13 years married, Jenna and I have decided to call it quits,” Jake says in the Deadliest Catch Season 22 premiere, which airs on May 8. “It’s due to a lot of things. The major one is that I’m gone too much crab fishing.”
The season will follow Jake as he navigates his life post-split. It was filmed in the fall of 2025, and Jake revealed that the and Jenna had separated about eight months earlier.
Prior to their split, they didn’t post with each other on social media too often, butJake paid tribute to his then-wife for her birthday in 2024.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY WONDERFULLY BEAUTIFUL WIFE,” he wrote, alongside a photo of them. He also commemorated their 11th wedding anniversary in 2023, writing, “11 years today I married the most beautiful woman inside and out. Love you Jenna. We went to Outback and s**t our pants.”
Do Jake and Jenna Anderson have kids?
Jake and Jenna are parents to three children. Their eldest son, Aiden, was born in January 2015, followed by daughter Cadence in June 2017. The family was complete with the addition of another son, Luka, in March 2020.
In 2023, Jake wrote on Instagram, “Happy Mothers Day. I love you Jenna Anderson your the best mom! My mom Donna Anderson and I never thought we would get to see the day where I had children of my own. We both tragically assumed I would die of alcoholism long before. Mom I love you so dearly and have always said, ‘I’ve been to hell, but then my mom came and picked me up.’ You both are my rocks.”
How did Jake Anderson propose to Jenna?
Jenna recalled the proposal story in 2012 for TLC. “It was nearing sunset, and we arrived to the lookout point before dusk, up high in the clouds when no one else was around,” she said. “We began kissing and hugging each other, appreciating being away from the family for a moment, and he began to tell me how much he loved me and how wonderful the previous three years had been.”
The story continued, “As he was doing this, I began shaking and praying to myself, ‘I really hope he’s about to propose.’ Before I knew it, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I screamed with excitement, saying, ‘Yes, yes, of course I will. I love you!’ I jumped on him, not even giving him the opportunity to pull out the ring.”
