Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman was the ultimate Western romance series in the ’90s. Viewers relished the love story between Dr. Michaela Quinn (Jane Seymour), also known as Dr. Mike, and Byron Sully (Joe Lando), which blossomed after Michaela left Boston for the Old West and settled in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Seymour loved working with Lando for so many years, and the former costars are itching to reunite onscreen again. Could a Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman revival be in the cards for Seymour and Lando? The Harry Wild star opens up about the possibility.

“If somebody wanted to, but we haven’t found anyone that wants to, which I find astounding since they brought every show that’s ever been made back,” Seymour quips. However, working alongside Lando doesn’t have to be for a Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman revival. It could be “literally anything,” she says.

The Relative Secrets host adds, “If you look at my Instagram, his house burned down, and they came and lived with me for five weeks when they lost everything. And just recently, for a fundraiser we were doing, he came and showed up at my art gallery and everything. I gave him some original art from me, and I just kind of grabbed the camera and handed it to someone as I showed him what he wanted to get, and he was so grateful. The next thing I know, 2.8 million people have watched that specific little tiny thing on my Instagram.”

Seymour hopes it’s only a matter of time before she and Lando share the screen again. “Somebody has to put Joe and I together in something,” she says.”I mean, even looking it up, apparently we don’t have to really do anything terribly interesting. It’s like seeing us together. We did actually do a Christmas movie for Lifetime a few years ago called A Christmas Spark that did very well. Joe and I are actively looking for something to do just because we love working together, but also because we know the fan base would really be hungry for it.”

Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman ran for six seasons from 1993 to 1997, followed by two films. In 2019, Seymour revealed that she and Lando actually dated while filming the first episode of the show, but their real-life romance didn’t last.

“We obviously, clearly loved one another and realized we couldn’t be actually in real-life together. I think we just played it [off] as Michaela and Sully,” Seymour told Us Weekly. “We didn’t actually talk to each other, other than in dialogue or making out for about six or seven years.” How times have changed!
