Superman Isn’t Single! All About David Corenswet’s Wife & Their Love Story
Sorry, everyone, Superman isn’t single! David Corenswet, the latest actor to take on the iconic superhero in James Gunn’s upcoming Superman, is a married man. And his wife knew that he should get the part of Superman from the outset.
“I knew that she was gonna be very excited and very proud of me,” the actor, 31, told People when asked about his wife’s reaction to his new gig. “She helped me make my first self-tape for the part, and she felt at that point that I should get the part. I thought she was crazy, but she felt it from the beginning, so if anything, I knew that she was gonna be even more excited than I was.”
The adorable anecdote is one of very few about the hunky star’s persona life; Corenswet hasn’t offered many details about his significant other until that interview. David Corenswet’s wife is actor and producer Julia Best Warner. She and her husband share the same occupation, with Netflix’s Ratched listed under her credits. A Time interview also confirms that the star’s SO is an actor. She has two upcoming credits: Real Live Girl and The Cutting Room Floor.

After a “slow burn” romance, the couple tied the knot in March 2023 in New Orleans. They don’t post each other on social media (but they do follow each other), and they haven’t been pictured together at a red carpet or public event as of yet.
How did David Corenswet meet his wife?
Their love of acting is what brought them together. Corenswet met his wife when they were teenagers in a summer theater program. They met in Pennsylvania then and now live in the Philadelphia suburbs as of April 2025. He moved there to be closer to family, according to Time.
Does David Corenswet have kids?
Yes, the Superman star is a dad! Corenswet and his wife welcomed their first child when he began filming the superhero flick in early 2024. “[It was] two big unknown things at the same time,” he told People. “And they were both great things.”
It seems Corenswet has taken to fatherhood like a duck to water. “I feel like I’ve been a dad for a long time, and just waiting for a kid to prove it,” he said. “My dad was an enthusiastic father and stayed home with my sister for a period when she was very little, and was very good with kids. And so I think I just inherited that. I liked being a camp counselor, and I have terrible jokes that nobody laughs at.”
